Question about Televison & Video
Have you checked i f the rectifiers -diodes are stopping the minus part of the ac current, making it a dc voltage, ther either 4 single diodes or 1 round one which has 4 legs you want to measure the terminal marked with a plus sign i think, this should be a smooth dc voltage of half the input ac voltage ,in this case around 115 vdc.,it may been a power surge have you the mains suppressent capacitor,s this usually there to take the surge of 240 mains supply ,supplied by your energy company.during busy usage, there is usually a power surge ie,during tv ads, ets. is there any input /output current/voltage,to the dc transformer or out of it,have you followed the voltage/current throug the power supply circuit.
