You must wire the first pc to the router - it will then allow the others wireless to attach.

Make sure that your computer is able to go online directly through the modem.
If your computer is able to go online through the modem, that means the modem is working fine.
You will need to connect the computer to the router and the modem to the router.

Make sure connections are correct. Cable modem to router with Ethernet cable. then connect router to computer with another Ethernet cable and see if it works.

o this:
1. hut down computer, modem and router.
2. put them on in this order waiting 1 minute between each.

---cable modem
---router

Only 2 of our PCs can connect to our Linksys WRT150N router

No. All routers will support up to 254 devices or computers.
1. Check that the third computer is set to automatically get a IP address (called DHCP).
2. Check to make sure there are blinking lights on the back of the computer where the network cable connects.
3. network speed. your computer should be set to auto detect speed. You may have to edit the properties of your network adapter to set it this way.

If this is about a wireless setup, wireless can be touchy and sometimes difficult to get connected.
Types of wireless - older computers may not be able to connect to newer wireless routers for example it may use 802.11 B, and your router is set to only use G.

Its also possible that your setup is such that your ISP provides Internet Addresses, and they only give you two. If so, it will require you to configure your router so that all of the client computer are on the LAN.

If you can proide more info, I can help.

Cannot detect the router

What version of the router do you have 1,0 or 1,1? This is located on the bottom of your router. There is a firmware update for both models, I will provide link. Also how is your laptop connected wired or wireless? Let me know and I will try to help you troubleshoot your problem. We always can set up your router manually.

New network has been detected

You may have only 1 wireless device at your home BUT your wireless computer may be picking up another wireless signal that is near you and broadcasting. If this is the case make your wireless device the default connection. BPCS
