Question about Gyration GyroMouse Pro
I found a GyroMouse Pro in my classroom and installed it so I could walk around while teaching and still advance the powerpoint slides I am teaching off of. The green light on the base comes on when I plug it into the USB port but no light comes on the actual mouse. I have tried every combination of buttons I can come up with but I can't get the mouse to turn on.
Try opening the battery casing (slide the part that fits in your palm backwards) and making sure the battery pack is plugged in- I just got one off eBay and they apparently ship with the battery pack unplugged. just take the battery out (it's easier to plug in from a vertical angle) and connect the cables, if they aren't already, then put the pack back in. Replace the cover, then let the battery charge for 14 hours or until it stops blinking on the base. Then, restart/turn on your computer and it should work, or at least the light should stay on when you take it off the charging station...
