Are you talking about the internal fuse? or the fuse in the plug

im assuming that you are talking about the internal fuse
get a standard glass tube fuse at the amperage you know about

i belive it does not matter what type of fuse it is as long as the diamentions are the same its good

Where is the mute button located on the JVC MX J900 and how to access the fuses?

There is no mute button on the control panel. There is a mute button on the remote control, located just above the + button. See page10 of the manual.

The fuses are located inside the power supply.

Dash light went out, but all other lights are still working, don't know what wrong? Maybe a bad switch to the dash? Or fuse? Help!

Check all your fuses, one at a time with a continuity tester. Replace each fuse before you remove another fuse so you will not put the fuse in the wrong place. Also, if you find a bad fuse which you can purchase at an automotive parts place, make sure you replace the bad fuse with the correct amperage fuse. Do not go up on the replacement fuse amperage. The amperage number is on the fuse handle. You can buy a very inexpensive continuity tester at radio shack and they will teach you how to use it. Good luck.

Fuse for jvc 42in

I see so many here with no sound/nopicture issues:

ISSUES:

1. IF sound main fuse/s are good.
2. If no power or standby check main fuse, standby power supply and any signsof damage you can see---burnt parts etc.
3. almost all these sets the troubleshooting involves checking voltages on the main power board to narrow down theproblem.
4. Be safe and if you do not know what you are doing don't open the set.

Answers to issues:

1. RE:fuses---if a blown fuse is found get a good replacement(not the genericones like Radio Shack). Many fuses are special even aside from amperage--Don'tput a higher rated amperage fuse in the set for any reason.

2. RE: power supply in set: if total dead aside from main fuse the set uses astandby power supply that runs 7/24 and a main supply (some are combined andsome not.

Here aside from checking fuses you want to examine all the filter caps on thepower/standby to see if any are puffed up or buldged up in some fashion--Iattach a photo of a good one---top should be silver metal and PERFECTLY flatand have no brown material coming out on top or bottom.

What happens in the standby area is they use caps with too low a voltage rating(saves money) which causes them to fail in a year or two---the standby runs7/24 and the heat dries out the caps and they fail.

3. Trouble shooting consists of the above and then at some point you have tobuy and try a board to see if it fixes it or not.

4. Safety first--no TV set is worth getting injured or even killed over.4_5_2012_3_47_19_pm.jpg

Look inside at the power supply board (power cord goes directly to it) for caps that look like these puffed up ones--tops should be perfectly flat and this is a common issue in many sets.

Fuse can be located at the power supply section of your device. It is inside it.

What fuse amperage do I use for rear defroster in a 92 mx3 precidia

You can find the fuse box, under the steering wheel. Remove the plastic cover, and look on the back for the diagram to see which fuse to replace. On the diagram you will also be able the see the amperage of that particular fuse. Usually would be around 20 AMP.

Yea I have the sam system...its great! My laser got old as well. I looked up on line and ordered a $40 new reader...put it in myself..piece of cake. It won't read or spin cause it can't see. You can make sure it has power to it, but most likely like mine it has burnt out.
try that

A power surge zapped my JVC MX-D661T compact component system. Any hope for it?

Open it up and check for internal fuses, if any in there, test with a wire, bulb and battery. The values (voltage and amperage) will be on the fuses or next to the fuse holders. Also look for any obvious burnt components like diodes( small bleck tripods) and capacitors(coloured "tubes" with a wire at each end) and resisters(like capacitors but with coloured stripes on). Obviously it will be cost dependent.
And most important UNPLUG BEFORE OPENING and be cautious as capacitors may be small but they can hold a very high voltage for a long time.

WE just bought fuses at the local radio shack. Ours were 4A 125V. You can look up your fuses on thier website to see if they carry them or just take one of your old ones with you. Hope you find what you are looking for.
