Question about Fuji FinePix F460 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Photos have shadings across photos

My camera is a F460I purchased in 2005. It still works , but some photos looked like you took the photo through venetian blinds. We didn't drop or hit. Some photos came out great than the shadings.

This meens that your shutter or curtain infront of the sensor is getting stuck and not oppening completly
i am not sure what the best solution is for this but it may be cheaper to buy a hole new camera rather then getting it fixed

Hi there. I purchased a EuroCyber digital Camera

Does this camera use a memory card? If so, did you remember to format it in the camera before using it to optimize it for your camera?

Still shot has many small white lines across it, giving a washed out look. Sometimes a rapidly clicking sound. Earlier, photos presented as shades of pinks istead of images. Video still works.

This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check this link for more info.

Gosh Megz, That's prolly more than anyone wants to type. Go to the Library or a book store. I'll try to explain white balance for you. Inside the camera is a program that evaluates the light during exposure. It tries to determine what is white and adjust the other colors in the photos accordingly by adjusting tint and temperature. Your eyes and brain do this for you. If you have a tripod try taking a photo in automatic mode and write down what the shutter speed and f stop was for that photo. Adjust your camera to those settings manually and take the same photo over. This way you will get a consistent photo to look at. Then change your color balance to different settings like daylight, cloudy, shade, tungsten (which is incandescent lighting) and fluorescent and view the difference in colors after you download to your image viewer on your computer. You'll think you went back to the late 60's.

Digital camera, horizontal lines across photos, outside photos look washed out.

I think it is a sensor issue, as well as a setting issue. My friend works at the drugstore and they used to have a photo department. She has the same camera as I. I took the camera to her to have her troubleshoot it. She said that she would contact this camera tech fellow she deals with all the time and send the camera to him. She did, he is not responding to telephone calls nor to emails. Either he is on vacation for over a month or has stolen the camera, or both. However, who ignores emails for over a month?

I have managed to find a replacement for this camera on ebay. Which if it is a sensor issue on the original, would have cost as much to repair as the price of the new camera.

Thanks.

Lex

Reddish cast in photos, white objects look pink.

Hello dcmassey, the cause of the problem can be CCD imager. So, the best solution is to claim for Sony recall. If there is some other problem ask for the price estimate. Please contact the nearest Authorized Sony Service. Best regards, Arpi
