THE BEST SOLUTION IS THE SIMPLEST ONE.

I suffered for 1 month shopping around for an universal remote control that has a code for the Digistar tv brand. It was in vain.

So just turn to the simplest way ..the programming with code search (on the guide of the universal remote control- which has not the code for digistar brand) In the paper it tell you exactly what to do. I bought a 3 device universal remote control.
On mine it showed five easy steps to follow and the remote finds itself the code and programs it .You do not put any code ever, the remote just simply WORKS perfectly. I have solved this problem just 5 minutes ago..Oh ...I forget..On the universal remote control instruction it said that you might have to press the ON/OFF button up to 200 times , so i thought "I never tried this one, better then waist days and months will no solution. I nedded to do it only for 30 times or so beffore the TV turned OFF, and than I pressed the ok button on my remote (probably to save it- or who cares-as long as you follow the instructions). Then I could turn back on the Tv and P{LAy with the remote without putting any code as the remote it programmed for the Digiistar brand..I'm so HAPPY...Try it and spread the "new"...It is Ironic ..it was there all the time...we look in more complicated zones and do not see the solution sitting under our nose:((:)))

Norcent, Liteon and Digistar are all pretty offbeat brands, so if you're looking for a universal remote that has pre-programmed codes for all of those devices you're likely to come up short.

Both your URC-9911 and the much superior 15-1994 are JP1 remotes, which means you could easily program both of them to work all of your devices using JP1.

The URC-9911 is also upgradeable, so you also have the option of sending it back to OFA to have them add the codes that you need. In the event that they don't have a code for any of your devices, they would ask that you let them also borrow your original remote(s) so they can capture the signals and create codes for you.

Ok i have one possible code after searching a while, and that code is 026 ( worth a try eh ? ) and above else, not knowing what type of universal remote you have, i can only offer one other possible solution.

try code 238, if it does not work you will need to try the code search.

1) turn on tv
2) press and hold "code search" until indicator light comes on
3) release code search
4) press and release "tv", indicator light should blink once
5) aim remote at tv and press the power button until the tv turns off (you may have to press it 200 or so times)
6) once the tv turn off, press enter on the remote
