My HP Printer a CM1312nfi mfp printer is printing a yellow line down the left side of my document

It could be one of a few things, one being the yellow toner cartridge, try using a different cartridge after replacing the cartridge run several cleaning modes from the service menu. If the problem is still persistent it could be the fuser assembly is too hot and therefore is scorching the paper or the etb is dirty. to clean the belt, access the secondary service menu, setup/press setup and cancel at the same time/ press set up again and you should see the secondary service menu/ select clean belt/ do this 5 times.

WIl not print correctly


If it is faded, it could be the transfer roller. I've had great success with simply periodically cleaning it, then getting a good printout. See my solution for this already posted: Check out this solution to the HP Color LaserJet CM1312nfi Laser Color...

Otherwise, the other issue I had late last year was that it needed a new intermediate transfer belt (part #RM1-4436-000CN). You can find a good deal on one, and the instructions for replacement are on page 156 in the service manual: http://www.feedroller.com/Store/Service%20Manual/HP-CLJ-CM1312-MFP-Manual.pdf
It's not the hardest replacement ever, but needs 2-3 hours depending on skill, and a little patience.

if the printer has not been used for a while the other colours may have dried out..
try using cargtridge clean function on your printer to ensure all cartridge heads are clean.

We have four computers, 3 Macs and a PC networked via an Apple Time Machine to a Hewlett-Packard HP Color LaserJet CM1312nfi MFP. All of the Macs display "Looking for Hewlett-Packard HP Color...


You should update your printers firmware and reload both Mac and windows drivers for the same printer. I look at this as more of a driver problem. Firmware and drivers can be located here. If problem persists, try to approach this instance by using the elimination method. remove pc from network, test with only macs connected. then remove macs and test with only PC connected. then finnaly, install this printer directly to pc and test the performance and then directly on one of the macs and test.

HP Color LaserJet CM1312nfi MFP printer leaves a 2 inch area unprinted using any programs. So basically it doesnt print the entire page.


turn on/off, unplug, plug in2_bing.gif, should reset configs.

take all the paper out, put half as much back in.
check the rollers to make sure no paper or particles are preventing printing

go to applications folder for your computer, dbl click printer icon for make of printer. check settings. print 'test document and clean cartridge heads', this should ensure proper printing formats.

lastly, go to web site of printer model and check site for trouble shooting if this does not work above. HP has an awesome website for this type os trouble shooting

Dirt.
Open the ADF, the top of the scanner/copier.
The ADF glass is the thin strip of glass on the left. Damp cloth with windex or any glass cleaner. Scrub the strip of glass.

Replacing Cartridges on the HP Color Laserjet CM1312nfi


Yes, you will replace the whole cartridge. Open the front door and pull out the cartridge drawer. Grab the handle for the magenta and pull it straight up. There should be directions in the box.
