Question about Dell Inspiron 1000 Notebook
I recently started having problems with a dell inspiron 1000 notebook after some very important files got deleted.
Someone suggested that I perform a windows repair install. If i do this what will I need? ( a windows repair CD and the original start up CD that came with the laptop? Or can I download the repair off the internet? Or will i need to buy the windows installation CD and reinstall the whole thing over?
The laptop had windows service pack 1 originally installed on it and it was later updated to SP 2. If I do reinstall windows can i buy SP 2 or should i get the original SP 1 that it came with?
Please help and thanks in advance!
If your data files are deleted then repairing will not help you have to use some recovery software but if some of the important files of windows are deleted then repairing will help and you will need the XP installation disc with SP1 or SP2.
