Clogged and not working, then started smoking after uncloged

Nothing would come out then i took the thing with the coffee grinds out and had to press button more than once (before and after taking out). then some loud noise came and coffee grinds and water came out, then 2 seconds later smoke started coming out starting to get worse then i pressed power and quickly unplugged it. Im scarred to start a fire by turning it on and i just got it last fathers day. We spent like over $500 dollars on it and its worked perfectly up til now with no abuse to it either!!! please help!

I strongly advice not to plug it back again before inspection. The machine seem to have an electrical short curcuit that cause the fire. This can be due to just a litle bit water that leak over an elctrical wire and it might need just to replace a gasket or something similar. However if you just plug it on again the overhating might melt many electrical parts or even worst can melt everything insite the machine and cause a fire also. So the machine need to be open by an expericed engineer and make a good visual inspection. If you are lucky and you didnt left the machine on after you saw the smoke for long time the machine might just need only a gasket which was leaking from the begining. I advice if you can open the machine yourself to be sure that the engineer will not charge you much for repairing it for just a leak. However if you see many parts burned and melt then estimate the cost before proceed with fixing it. the maximu limit for repairing the machine is the half price of a new one.

When the cup button is pushed, the maker tries to make coffee (five or six grinding type sounds) but nothing happens. The screen reads "brewing" but no coffee comes out.

Run the keurig with vinegar instead of water. Then run it 5 times with only water just to remove the vinegar taste. Do this once a month. Also there are pins that pokes holes on top and bottom of coffee kcups, find the pins and clean it by unclogging with paperclips or some thinner wire. Buy a K-cup holder from amazon.com. Its the black cone shaped holder.

I purchased a GE Coffee Grinder Model number 111338 54, but there wasn't an owner's manual with it, and the first time we plugged it in it doesn't work. We just wanted to make sure we were operating...

I'm on my second grinder of this model.......... in the past 2 months. The first stopped working so I just took it back and replaced it. The second time it quit working I removed the cup with the grinded coffee and noticed smoke wafting up from the unit. Both times it quick working I was grinding 12 cups of beans (12 cups of brewed coffee, not 12 cups of actual beans). The unit shouldn't have a setting to grind that much coffee if it burns the motor out, which is what happened.

Coffee not brewing after grinding

After grinding did you hear the brew group goes up and pump start? If you hear the pump start and stopped, itis blockage in the brewunit metal screen. Just needs cleaning.
If you don't hear the pump starting, the problem is with the faulty micro switch inside the gearbox , that is behind the plate of brewunit.(service center job)

The water is not adding to the ground beans , is it plugged?

I haven't seen a Vienna in a long time so I cannot remember if there is a door for preground coffee, if that option is there, open door and press button to make a coffee if you get water, then adjust the grind and dosage on the grinder and try the auto function.

Clogged?

I've been having the same problem. I would clean out the burrs and it would get clogged right away. But I found that at the top of the chute where the coffee comes out that there's a flap type device. Mine was clogged with coffee. When I unclogged it it would swing freely. That seems to have helped. You need to use a skewer or long toothpick to clean it and free it. Use a flashlight to see the flap. It looks like it has a weight attached to it and probably swings back and forth as the coffee is ground.

Everything sounds like its working...but nothing.

It sounds like your filter is clogged.  This can be tricky to unclog, but use the pin that came with the machine.  I have had the most success when I use the pin and try to run H20 (no coffee) through the filter basket.  Sometimes takes several tries, but eventually blows out the clog.
