My floormate does not pick up liquid anymore, there seems to be no suction. I took it apart a bit to look inside and the short hose which goes from the intake area to the collecting bin is ripped and open. can this piece be replaced?

I will have to just call around for a place that sells the replacement part- not much different than I would have done without asking question.

Hello,

yes, the ripped part/piece can be replaced.

Remove the ripped part from the device, take it to the market and use it as a sample to buy a new one. Fix it back into the device and that's all.

Take care.

what is "the market" of which you speak?

I mean a shop/store where you can get the replacement.

Hoover floormate not picking up water

Reduction or loss of suction power could be caused by several things, including a blockage in the water channel, the water channel hose, recovery hose (located behind the recovery water tank), deteriorating rubber seals, dirty/clogged filter, dirty louver cover (exhaust for the vacuum above the tank).

The vacuum does not pick up either dry or liquid. It seems like there is a loss of suction.

This is commonly caused by either a worn out squeegee on the nozzle, or a broken wheel assembly. To check the wheel assembly, turn the machine over and look for breakage where the assembly attaches at the rear. Another common problem is that the clear plastic cover over the filter has been misplaced. There should be a rectangular cover with a round hole in it covering the filter on the lower tank. Without this cover in place there is no suction to the pick-up tank.

My Hoover Floormate series H3032 won't suction wet or dry. I have thoroughly checked the hose for clogs or cracks and there's no problem there. I notice the float never closes but just hangs down...

Check again that the pipes aren't clogged. Check all the way through from where the muck goes in to where it's supposed to end up, paying particular attention to places where the pipe narrows, goes round a bend, or changes material.

Check the machine doesn't just need emptying.

Wet/dry machines usually have some sort of float operated stop valve to stop you flooding the motor when you've filled it with water. Make sure this isn't stuck shut.

Check everything from the impellor right back to where the muck goes in is airtight. It doesn't take a huge hole to lose you a lot of suction. Pay particular attention to places that are meant to come apart routinely, and places where hoses join to hard fittings. If in doubt, run the machine and listen for sucking noises.

If there's a filter between the fan and the air outlet (there usually is) make sure it is clean

Assuming the motor is running, check it is turning the fan impeller.

Hopefully, one or other of these will get you somewhere

My floormate is not suctioning very well. Tech support told me to take out the brushes and put them back in and this helped for a little bit then it went back to not suctioning. deb

When you took the brushes out, was there hair wrapped around them? Sometimes they just need to be cleaned off. When you take them off, there is a belt they connect to that also goes around a gear -- make sure the belt and gear don't have hair wrapped around them either.

Hope that helps!

My steam vac deluxe does not have enough suction to pick up water

For the brushes:

The power wire may have slipped off. take apart the unit at the top (Behind the cleaning fluid container) Inside there is a wire coming up from the motor at the bottom of the unit. This can come unlpugged no longer powering the scrub brushes. Simply slip the wire back on the plug.

To open: remove all visible screws from top half of machine. Remove the rubber mode dial by pulling off, and remove screw behind that. Pull the front off, and the power plugs are located right on the inside of the machine by the mode dial.

for the suction, check the intake hose the comes out from behind the floor assembly. it tends to split over time

I have a hoover spinscrub 800. It washes great

in some cases when this happenes it's usually from a really bad filter or the squeege at the bottom of the nozzle. the squeege is what makes contact with the floor and suctions all of the water up. to take off. take off the nozzle and there will be (3) screws inside of the nozzle. once these screw are removed, the squeege can be removed. at hoover.com the replacement part # is 93001094. ( according to model # H3060 )

Floormate will not **** dirty water.

Check the hose coming out of the floor assembly. It tends to split, keeping it from picking up the water

Hoover FloorMate won't pick water up

Check for the filter in place and it also requires a filter lid for proper suction or it will not work
