Electric starter on my Husqvarna 580 rse will not engage

I recently acquired a 580RSE for my small lawn service i have. It is in great shape It runs like a dream. But the electric start will not work the battery is fully charged there is a black wire that looks to be a ground wire to the frame detached. I tried to place it in multiple locations and nothing, I mean its just a ground wire. I really could use a wiring diagram or something please help. It will bug me everyday even thou the mower still runs without it.

SOURCE: mower quits when engaging mower deck of husqvarna yth 2348

Try putting a jumper wire on the wire going from the engine to the seat. Take that plug and put a wire from one side to the other. Be careful not to cut your feet off when engaging deck.

SOURCE: my lawn mower is only 3 years old and it gets hot

I am having a similar problem with my husqvarna. What we are finding is that there is a valve that is sticking open, and after it cools down it unsticks, hence being able to start it again. Mine is sticking and staying stuck more often and has to be manually unstuck. I will post more as I work on it and have more details.

SOURCE: Brand new Husqvarna R53SV 53cm Petrol Mower wont start

Buy some starting fluid and spray some in the carb or air cleaner intake port, if the machine is flooding do not choke while using the starting fluid, make sure you do not have too much oil in the mowwer.

SOURCE: Husqvarna Mdl YTH2448 Riding Mower - Electric PTO Not Working

It sounds like your charge system is not working. If you jump the battery the engine will run with a weak battery but the pto clutch needs a strong battery to stay engaged.Try this to test it,after you jump it leav the jumper cables hooked up and try to engage the blade clutch,if it runs it is either a battery that wont take a charge or a charge system not working. If you put a volt meter on the battery while the engine is running and the voltage is 13 volts the charge system is working and the battery is bad.

Blowing fuses

try unplugging the pto, starting the mower and then engaging the blades. If it still blows a fuse the problem lies in the mowers wiring. If not the problem is the pto. Hope this helps

1999 escort 1800 diesel not starting

For a short term solution, you could run a small electric heater within the engine compartment which will keep everything nice and warm for your early morning starts.
I remember my father using an extension trouble light and leaving it under the engine compartment during the winters.
