They normally use a torx screw with a pin in side the hollow so the tool you need has a hole in it to match this pin.If you cant get one sometimes if you get a small strong screwdriver you can snap yhis pin off then a normal torx. bit will do.

Hope this helps.

Replace a bottom heating element can't seem to get back of oven off allen keys don't fit do I need special tool?

They won't be high security fixings.

Look at the head of the screws with a flashlight.

So allen keys (six sided) either metric or imperial (they are fractionally different sizes. Zanussi will be metric.
Robertson (square head)
Torx (star head).

Why do you want to remove the back of the oven? Access is usually from the rear of the stove, the bit next to the wall, via an inspection cover. The exception is fan assisted ovens, which is often a combination of both.

How do you change the belt on a zanussi nexus fl 1082.iv got the top off and tryed to slip my hands down the back of machine to attach the belt to the motor and wheel, but just cant get the last bit on,and...

With the help of someone, tilt the washer forwards towards you, this will give you more room to get your hands inside to fit the belt, it is awkard, but can be done, I have done it this thay on many occasions, otherwise, it entails removing the rear half of the cabinet, not an easy job!!!!!¬.
Good luck.

Anussi ZWD 1271W stops at beginning of program

Did you fix this problem? We have the same with Zanussi ZWD 1472 W. It takes some water and stops after 2 minutes. We need to shut machine down and fill water manually. It works fine then.

I have a zanussi nexus FL1082, and at the end of the cycle the clothes are still wet, meaning i have to re-sping it several times. Your advice would be most grateful..........thankyou.

Ther should be a filter located at the bottom front right of washer behind drop down flap, unscrew filter anti-clockwise and remove and clean.
Please rate my solution.

Unsure how to access drier to put on new drive belt

Here is my own solution...
Disconnect from mains (of course) remove top (2 screws at back near top) Unplug electric connectors (on back panel, top RHS). Make sure note what goes where! Lie unit down on front remove screws (2) holding the drum spindle cover (centre of back) and remove cover pop off the circlip holding drum spindle, and washer unscrew back panel - hex headed screws round outside of back Remove screws at bottom of back panel which screw into the plastic vent housing (3 I think) Lift whole back off. (there's a plastic lip at bottom - need to pull away from this a bit) The drum spindle will be unsupported now, so don't move unit Full access now to drum and motor beneath Get and put on new belt reassemble.
Actually, having got into unit, found could not get belt from local spares shop (it had closed down), so bought new drier!

Zanussi IZ 12

I've just spent an hour taking mine to bits. On the back there are 2 x 9mm silver nuts at the bottom, below the star head screws you removed to get the top off. Then there are two more sneaky ones at the bottom of each side panel, just next to the gap about half way along on both sides., with a plastic cover hiding them from view. Make sure you release the mains cable holder from the top of the back by pressing the plastic clips down, then the whole shebang should slide off easily.

Cleaning the filter

Is it a recessed star, or a raised star? If it is recessed, the tool is called torx. Most of your better tool suppliers will have them. The raised star.... I cant help you.
