Maybe your are in low voltage thats why amphere is high.

Taking high ampere and tripping


Remove the belt and test motor for amp draw. If motor runs normal, most likely problem with compressor or check valve. If still high amp could be short in windings or motor start switch stuck on. If motor does not turn (loud hum) try spinning by hand to see if it starts. If motors runs after spin by hand, bad capacitor. Good luck

Fuse blown or breaker tripped


Due to short circuit or burnt wiring in air conditioning. It may happens due to high voltage or undersized wiring. When fan motor or compressor grounded, then it will trip the breaker or blow the fuse.Fuse wires should be 3 times amps of actual running amps.Breaker should be same. If your a/c model current is 8.3 amps, breaker/fuse should be 25 amps.

What does error code CA on my calypso washer?


Ca - Average Current peak - happens if there is a 2 second average of current draw greater than 5.55 amps at the motor windings. This may signify problems with the drive motor, thermal protector, or motor controller. Overloading the unit may cause this problem. Try washing smaller loads and see if the problem goes away. If it recurs when you wash bigger loads, decrease the size AND watch to see if you have to continue to decrease the size to keep the error from happening. If that were occurring, it could well be a sign of the electrical problems noted, requiring service.
CA Cl Average current limit Or Instantaneous current limit If a status signal comes back from the motor controller that a current limit has been breached, the unit will return to standby mode and display either CA for average current limit trip or Cl for instantaneous current limit trip. Average current trip occurs if there is a 2 second average of current draw greater than 5.55 amps at the motor windings. Instantaneous current trip occurs if there is a spike of 26 amps instantly at the motor windings. This may signify problems with the drive motor, thermal protector, or motor controller. Over-loading the unit may cause this problem.
I think CA means [C]ontrol [A]verage Error. It means you need to reset the control panel, and retry again.

Hi, if a compressor draws that many amps above its running load amps, it is not normal at all. It would be tripping the breaker at 25 to 27 amps!! If the compressor is overloading that much, it wouldn't run at all.It could be that your outdoor coil is very dirty causing this reading. Take a water hose and wash it out good. Careful not to bend the aluminum fins when doing this.If the specs say 26 R.L.A., it wouldn't run at all at 40, no way at all. This tech must be green, or very fresh out of school.Wash the coil to bring the head pressure down, and see if it starts cooling. Any compressor that draws max amps will shut off on internal overload. If the compressor is on its way out, and he said its drawing 40 amps, it would be locked up, L.R.A, locked rotor amps. Wash that coil very well, as this is what causes high amps, and see what happens. He is wrong.Have them send a different tech out free of charge, and tell him what I have told you. If the compressor is 30 years old, it still could not draw that many amps, as the breaker, or fuse would blow in a second, or it would lock up! Please keep me posted,

WE HAVE AN ATLAS CAPCO GA 15FF MODEL AIR COMPRESSOR.IT HAS A PROBLEM THAT IT SHOWS THAT MOTOR OVERLOAD PROBLEM AND SHD NC HOW IT CAN B OVERCOME


We need to try to find the problem by doing a little trouble shooting. First check the amp rateing on the motor name plate. Next check the amp setting on the motor overload. It should be set no more than 10% above the motor rating. While checking the overload setting check all of the starter and overload lugs/screws to make sure they are tight.Next lets check the amps on the the motor using an amp meter with the motor running and compressor fully loaded. Amps at full load should be within 10% of name plate rating. If Amps are high Check incoming voltage. If all of the above checks out you may have something internally happening in the airend.

AC runs for 5 minutes and then circuit breaker


What else do you have running on hydro while AC is running? Such as coffee maker, microwave, water heater, fridge. That 30 amp breaker is your main breaker I assume, or breaker on pole your plugged in to. Keep in mind your AC will normally draw approx. 15-17+ amps momentarily when compressor kicks in to cool, then drop back to 12-15 amps when running normal. If your AC is drawing too much current, then you would only normally trip 20 amp breaker for AC in your panel. Try switching other appliances to gas operation while running AC, such as water heater, and fridge. Make sure incoming voltage is up to specs as well . (115-120 volts)
If water heater takes 5-8 amps, and fridge takes same when they are calling for power, you'll be close or over the 20amp mark when you consider your on board converter etc. as well. That only leaves approx 10 amps for AC that requires approx 15 amps to run, and up to 20amps when compressor kicks in. If you switch all those other items over to propane, and it still happens, then a current draw test should be done on AC unit to see if perhaps a capacitor is faulty, or possible compressor faulty.

Wagner electric asincronous H 100L4 1982 motor MK-250. Compressor will start, get up to pressure okay, but once pressure drops it will stall on restart and trip out mains.


The overload trip is is not rated high enough for the load. When the compressor starts form zero pressure their is little load on the motor. It then pumps ok to the cutout pressure under gradually increasing load. When it tries to start on the intermediate pressure the load is too great as the motor drawers a higher current on start-up and has the additional load of the higher pressure. You have a 15 amp appliance running on a 10 amp circuit or similar depending on your countries supply voltage.

High amp start up draw


I don't care what kind of stories Craftsman tells, their numbers don't add up.
One horsepower is ~ = 740 watts of energy.
2.5 hp equates to a steady-state power consumption of  ~1850W and this could be 50% higher during the first second or two after turn-on.  Your 15 Amp circuit is pushed to the limit by that power level; 15 Amps X 120 VAC = 1800W And, motors aren't a breakeven game; part of the power they draw is wasted in heat.

9 amps steady-state would be a power consumption of over 6kw which cannot be right. Either your measurements or the motor is faulty.

C1 code


The C1 error is displayed when the motor tries to pull more than 26 amps to run.

This indicates a problem with the motor or motor controller.

Overloading or excessive suds can also cause this error.

If you like to make a few more checks then the image below contains the instructions for entering the diagnostic test mode.

Its a short cycle that runs all of the components so the operation of each can be checked.

I hope this helps but an intermittent C1 error can be hard to pin down.

The C1 code indicates the "instantaneous current limit" trip. This signifies problems with the drive motor, thermal protector, motor controller. Overloading the machine will cause high amps and trip the unit. Instantaneous current trip occurs if there is a current spike of 26 amps instantly at the motor windings in which the motor overload trips. check bearings for lubrication - or as stated above overloading the washer.
