Hi steelvalley
To answer your question;
Although there are products specifically designed to remove Sooth and smoke odors,
If you want to clean the screen you can use regular glass cleaner like windex and dish soap water.
Just make sure that none of it ends up leaking between the frame and the bottom of the screen.
Hope this help Cheers

Tried glass cleaner and had to push extremely hard to remove coating. I was concerned about compromising the screen itself. Is there anything stronger but still safe for the screen?

Usually if the screen was`nt affected by heat as well, you can use a cloth dipped in warm sudsy water.

    Then rinse with clear water.

Of course there is the 50/50 water + vinegar solution then rinse otherwise it will stink of vinegar when the screen warms up

And you can use the same force that you would for a standard glass window.

Samsung plasma tv picture has 3 fine, colored vertical lines

Mainly, this kind of fault is due to loose connection to its COF to display panel. The number of these COFs will be different according to screens size. These Chip On Film [COF] can be located in a row at the bottom of the screen, looking after the back cover removed. re-seat them, and check. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Pull up older posts. Screen-shots to defective plasmas are given. You can compare it to that of your TVs, and can make sure. Beware! All plasma TVs have dangerous potentials inside. Be sure to ware hand goloves to both hands during service work.

Can I use a grill under my tent?

Absolutely not, the smoke from a grill will damage the fabric of the tent. All grills must be far enough away from the tent so that no smoke is allowed to enter the tent. The tent is made of very flammable fabrics so there is a great risk of causing a fire while grilling under a tent, just put the grill outside it will be more pleasant to stay inside not smoky tent.

My plasma screen was kicked and i was wondering if it can be repaired and for what price?

When this type of damage has occurred, many problems will arise. For example if the screen is cracked...the replacement may exceed the cost of a new TV. There are lots of possibilities that other internal damage has been done. Best idea is, to shop for another TV! Sorry..this is the best advice. Thanks for asking and show a few hands of support!

Screen went black smoke coming from back tv is 2007 according to back sticker still have sound

Smoke = overheating = big short = big failure of a part.
Unplug the tv immediately - you don't want t set your house on fire - and call a repaiman. Since the tv has been smoking then the damage will be extensive - a lot of parts, even entire boards, have been damaged. Te repair will be costly.

Screen damage from Panasonic Viera TV

Hi
There is a solution. If you brought this to my shop I would replace the film (depending upon availability). Absolute worst case is replacing the screen (costly). Of course this is my shop, you'll need to take it to a reputable repair person. Sorry

Fire caused smoke on back side of screen

Yes it can, but not by any even moderately simple means. The screen itself is as fragile as 50" eggs. If you're dead set on doing it you're gonna need help, and not from little sister. I can only guess as to what your set looks like, but if it is anything like the older models, the screen is protected by clear plastic. Between those two is where your smoke is. IF and thats a big IF, its still the same, all you need to do is remove the screws in the top and bottom of the large braces that recieve the stand. from there you're likely going to have to unhook wires to speakers or the ambient lighting if your tv has it, but that's easy. Carefully lift out the screen with help, by the braces which should still be left screwed into the plastic and metal columns connected to the metal back of the screen. I DONT recommend setting the screen down anywhere unless you have a static free room with no lint. Just have person two use a real microfiber cloth to clean the insides of the screen protector, your call if you'd like to wipe the actual display, I don't know if it will cause it any harm or not. The problem is that by doing this you might be exchanging smoke for lint and fibers from the cloth. Reassemble and don't take your plasma camping anymore. Good Luck.
