No, the front screen cannot stay I. I checked this with a Samsung representative. The only thing you can do to get the front screen to light up without opening the phone up is press and hold the volume key while the phone is closed. This will light up the front screen for a few seconds.

Hi,
I use Convoy 2. Go to "Setting" and select "Sounds settings".Select "Call Sounds" and select "Call ringtones". Then select "Call ringtones". Find "no ring" if you see it just select the ring tone you want and test the ring tone. I hope it is work for Convoy 3.

I have Convoy 2. To change the setting you press "menu" Usually center button on phone. Go to "Star" for settings. On Convoy 2 phone setting option 8, Press "OK"(center button), Select options 5 for language a press "OK" and select language. I hope Convoy 3 have the same menu.

If the phone got wet and the screen went out. That means there's water damage and the phone is fried.

Keep phones AWAY from water at all times. Water resistant or not.

Samsung Convoy cell phone will not ring in. screen shows bell with a red hash through it.
try the volume button on the side. the red bell means u have it on mute. otherwise find the profiles settings im using a rugby and they are in settings, profiles and adjust your ring volume in there

Why is the calender event icon on my screen, i dont have a calender event for today.
Actually, PiyushVig's answer is completely incorrect. The Calendar icon on both the front screen and the main screen are not always there. They only show up for a reason, and that is because there is a calendar event scheduled for that day. (Likewise there is no setting in the phone to show or not show the calendar icon. If you have an event scheduled for that day, the calendar icon will show and there is no changing that feature.)

Today I had the same problem as the person who asked this question. There are no events scheduled for today yet the phone displays the calendar icon on both the main screen and the front screen of my Samsun Convoy SCH-U640 cell phone.

So I just got off the phone with Samsung support to see if I could resolve this issue. They told me that there is no reason for the calendar icon to show up when there are no events scheduled for that day. They had me do a soft boot (shut off phone and remove battery for 20 seconds then replace battery and turn phone back on) and that did not work. I also tried actually programming an event for today and then erased it but that did not make the bogus calendar even alert icon go away.

So Samsung Support's conclusion to this issue is exactly what I suspected before I even called them; it's simply a software glitch (which is annoying for those Convoy users that really use and rely on the calendar function).
