Ok..#1.take the battery out..
then youll have to remove the 2 screws that hold the modem part of the phone in.gently pryup on the modem ,on the side with out the usb charger port..slip a thin flat tipp screw driver in there and slide it towards the bottom of the phone. there are littler plastic clips carefull not to break them.then youll see where the bottom of the flex cable plugs in.unplug it.then flip the phone over,in the 4 cornors of the screen side of the flip there are tiny little rubber plugs. pop them out and undo the screws in there.near the top of the screen there is a little slot on the right side of the screen ..gently pop the cover off the screen..unplug the flex cable from the screen.and carefully remove the screen.be careful not to damage the buttons on the sides of the screen.then close the flip and turn the phone over..looking into the battery part of the phone,on the top right hand side of the hindge there is another little screw, remove that.then again turn the phone over and stick a flat tip screw driver into the open hole and pop the chrome roller out.then very carefully youll be able to seperate the 2 halfs. look on the back side of the keyboard youll see little metal tabs folded over that holds the key board in place..the keyboard and the flex cable are one piece, just revers the procedure to replace.." BE VERY CAREFUL RUNNING THE FLEX CABLE THREW THE HINGE AS IT CAN DAMAGE VERY EASLY." IF YOU NEED MORE ASSISNT CONTACT WWW.PHOENIXTEC.CA they are very helpful

The replacement flex cable I bought is separate from the keyboard. Do I just cut the ends of the old flex cable off the keypad and run the new one underneath it?

My motorola razor v3 has a white screen?

Hi, White screen on motorola razor phones can be caused by either the LCD or the flex of the screen.

First, you will need to check for the flex by replacing the flex of the phone. the flex controls the display of the phone and the keys on the keypads of the phone.

The LCD also can cause a white screen display. After replacing the flex and if it's still has white display, you will need to replace the screen.

Have a nice day.

Razor v3 phone screen

Hello,

is it a blank screen, if it is, the problem with your phone is that the flex on the screen of your phone is weak or damage, that is why your screen did not display.

All you need to do is to replace the flex on the screen of your phone and you will see that your phone screen will display. Change the flex on the screen of your phone as advice and you will see that your phone screen will display.

Take care.

I have a Motorola razor phone. The phone was on and the screen was black but the buttons were still lit up blue. I turned off the phone and now the buttons are still lit up blue even when the phone is...

Hi, it is the flex of the phone that connects the screen board to the main board that make the screen display is faulty and it needs to be replaced with another flex.

After changing the flex, it will work perfectly again.

But sometimes you might still change the flex and it will still b e showing blue. In that case you will need to change the screen of the phone.

Take care.

The keys on my motorola razor are frozen, i've tried taking out the battery and putting it back in, it won't work..

could be the flex cable! or could be worse, you have to go to a service. the flex cable is a cheap part and easy to replace.

New lcd screen no picture! sound and call functionality ok - but no illumination at all on inner or outer lcd

wrong place to post problem but ... solved issue. Flex cable was torn slightly through at bend on keyboard side of hinge causing break in the circuit trace. Replacing the flex cable should solve this, Next time I will do that first instead of replacing lcd !

When I turn the motorola razor on, the screen stays dark

That problem is usually caused by the flex cable being ripped or snagged in the razor. But it can also be caused by the LCD messing up. So if you have a cellular repair store near you just take it in and they can fix it or you could file an insurance claim through your wireless provider to have the phone replaced.
