Lid won't close

We replaced the cartridge and now can't get the lid to close. Any suggestions??

Remove cartridge, make sure there are no obstructions anywhere, and then try it again.

Possible that the lid switch alignment is not proper and so does not activate when the lid is closed. Please reset this lid once again and check the switch continuity with a meter when the lid is shut

Cartrage replacement


From the user guide:
Cartridge Error (1102, 1203, 1204, or 120F)
1 Remove the print cartridges, and close the cartridge carrier lids.
2 Close the scanner unit.
3 Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet.
4 Reconnect the power cord to the electrical outlet.
5 If the button is not lit, press .
6 Reinsert the print cartridges and close the cartridge carrier lids.
7 Close the scanner unit.
If the error does not reappear, the problem has been corrected.
If the problem reappears, one of the cartridges is not working properly. Continue with the following procedure to
determine which cartridge is not working properly.
1 Remove the print cartridges, and close the cartridge carrier lids.
2 Close the scanner unit.
3 Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet.
4 Reconnect the power cord to the electrical outlet.
5 If the button is not lit, press .
6 Reinsert the black (or photo) print cartridge and close the cartridge carrier lid.
7 Close the scanner unit.
8 If the error:
• Reappears, replace the black (or photo) print cartridge with a new one, close the cartridge carrier lid, and close
the scanner unit.
• Does not reappear, reinsert the color print cartridge, close the cartridge carrier lid, and close the scanner unit.
9 If the error reappears, replace the color print cartridge with a new one, close the cartridge carrier lid, and close
the scanner unit

Replaced color ink cartridge and now the lid will not close! When I opened the lid to replace the ink cartridge there was a loud crack and now the lid will not close properly.


HI there,
Please check if there are any damage to the cosmetics of the unit.
Ensure that all plastics are properly in place, something must have loosen out when you pull the lid out which also caused that crackling sound that you heard.
Can you please check the sides and the place where the lid and the body closes (joints).

Just need to know how to put in black ink in the z1300


Follow these steps on how to install the cartridge: 1. Make sure the printer is on. 2. Lift the access cover. The print cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position, unless the printer is busy. 3. Press down on the left cartridge carrier lever to raise the cartridge carrier lid. 4. Remove the used print cartridge(if you are replacing). Insert the new black cartridge in the left carrier. 5. Snap the lid closed.

Sometimes the ink cartridge carrier won't automatically move to its loading position even when the printer is on and the cover is open. Follow the steps below:


1. Unplug the printer from the power source.

2. With the cover open, hold the solid white strip that connects from the carrier assembly to the ink cartridge carrier and gently slide the cartridge carrier to the center of the printer.

3. Remove the used cartridge.

4. Load the new black cartridge. Close the cover.

5. Plug the printer back to the power source.

I have a Lexmark X125 printer. I just bought new ink cartridges because I ran out of ink. I followed the directions on the printer to install the ink cartridges and the printer keeps flashing the words...


Remove the cartridges and close the lid. Allow the system to try to calibrate and complain. Open the lid. Check the cartridge bottoms to make sure you removed the plastic cover on the jet heads.
Replace the cartridges and make sure they clip. Close the lid to finish.

if this does not solve it. Remove the cartridges and then unplug the unit from the power. hold the power button down for 10 seconds then give 20 seconds more. this will clear all power. Place the new cartridges in and close the lid. power the unit on and test for success

After installing re-filled ink cartridges, both color and back & white, the printer message that shows ink level still shows low level ink? How do we resolve?


Hello,

Try this procedure:
1. Open printer lid so cartridges move to center of carriage.
2. Lift clamp and remove black or color cartridge from the holder.
3. Place cartridge on table with copper contact strip facing you.
4. Carefully place a strip of clear plastic tape over the four contacts on the upper left corner of the cartridge.
5. Reinstall cartridge in printer and close lid. Wait until cartridge returns to parking position.
6. Open lid and remove cartridge again. Remove tape from left side and place tape over four contacts at upper right corner of cartridge.
7. Reinstall cartridge in printer and close lid. Wait until cartridge returns to parking position again.
8. Open lid again, remove cartridge, remove tape.
9. Reinstall cartridge and close lid.
Printer will now recalibrate. Once the process is complete the ink level meter should be reading full again.

Problem with color cartridge


Your ink cartridge opening may have dried up. Try replacing the catridge with a new one. Should resolve te problem.
