Hi,

Things to Check When No boot...
1. Have you connected all the power cable?
2. Do you see any display?(including the power lights glowing)
3. Does the screen show you any blue screen error message?
4. Do you hear any beep noises?
5. Have you tried to install any third party hardware or software?
6. What do you think could have caused the issue?

The bios settings control where you boot from. That is hard disc , DVD , USB stick, reset the bios settings to original, then go to settings and follow instructions to set boot options , most computers have different settings

Im try to format my acer veriton 7100 but the computer cannot boot any drive.. teach me how to do it

when the pc starts you'll see a splash screen that says hit "*" key * being some random key usually delete, or f2 or f1. once in bios change the boot order to DVD/CD first. save changes and exit. upon reboot you should see the computer say press any key to boot from DVD.CD

Im not able to boot from os cd the bios can see rom drive and hard drive but im not able to boot iv'e tried f12 but no joy can you help?

hi there.

If you go to the bios on start up and select cd rom drive as your primary boot and then restart. Your computer will then try to boot first from the cd rom drive and second from the hard drive. If it fails to boot from the disk then this would lead me to believe that either the disk is unreadable by the drive or that the cd rom drive itself is unable to read the disk.

I have a compaq dsktop with windows vista. i cant get windows to come on. so im on my old laptop trying to find help.

Boot to Advance Boot Options by tapping F8 while booting your computer. Once you are in the Advance Boot Options menu, Choose "Repair Your Computer". That should initialize the startup repair. This should give you a headstart. Post here if you need further help..

My computer has a black screen and says "Reboot and select Proper Boot device or insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and Press a key." Im not that computer savy. Help!

Your computer tries to load an Operating System from several devices:
* the 'A:' diskette
* the 'C:' disk-drive
* the 'D:' CD-ROM
* any USB device
* via your network-port, "talking" to a "boot-server" on your network.

What probably has happened is that you have no disk in 'A:', and no disk in 'D:', and your disk-drive in 'C:' could *NOT* be read, i.e., your disk-drive has "died", and so your computer says "insert media".

Take your computer to a qualified technician, for complete trouble-shooting.

For that you need to SEt first boot device as your cd or dvd rom in bios.
When you power up the computer press F1 oe F2 or "del" key to enter in bios .
Then go to boot option then set first boot device as your cd or dvd rom then save settings and exit.
Then resatrt if your recoveri disk in rom then your computer boot with it.

Hi my computer will only come on in safe mode wont go on internet and when i try to do anything it tells me im not authorised

You may have to resort to re-formatting your computer and restoring it to day one. You might have gotten a virus that hijacked your computer. One way to check is bootup in safe mode and try sustem restore. Also in the boot up page just after your bios boot, see if there is an option available to select called " Boot to last known working configuration"

Hope this helps
