First check not to be an issue with the mobile parts inside...after you are sure that all is ok mechanical..you should reset it to fix errors...Im not sure for the model ..but if it is not specified the procedure in the user guide(usually it is if has unusual way to reset) ..than you should try the general way ...and shut it down ..remove cord...put it back after 30 sec..than power it up,,and when you do that keep the power button pressed for 15 seconds...or try to keep it and release it every 5 seconds..if it beeps..Most models do reset on this if they do not have reset in the menu ..or special buttons or combination of buttons ...

177 Fatal Error

Error 177: Thermistor indicates Low Temperature (COLD) Error.

Usualy the fuser has overheated first (error 172/176) and tripped the thermal protection causing the fuser not to heat up anymore.

Normal procedure if a restart doesn't fix it is to replace the fuser unit.

I have changed the fuser unit in a okidata c9300 and still getting a 174 fatal error. how cani i fix this problem?

First of all unplug the printer from the mains (safety first). Get the toner out again and check for dirt on the contacts. Also check the contacts inside the printer itself.

In case of a problem or clarification, don't hesitate to post me a reply.

Fatal error 173?

It points to an internal error. It may be from the fuser unit. Make sure all the wires are connected praoperly and that you didn't disconnect anything when you repalced the fuser. If the problempersists, you'll have to take it in for service.

I just replaced the fuser unit in my Okidata 5200 and it will print for awhile and then stop with a fatal error #177. How do I fix this?

lift your top cover up and check the ribbon cables to the black leds (4) under the cover 2 on each led, these have been known to be loose and cause those fatal error codes

Okidata c5200n printer 173:FATAL ERROR. What is this? How do I fix it?

In the fuser unit the Heat roller thermister indicates a low temperature error. Replacing the fuser unit will usually resolve this. Fuser units are consumable items bur for an early life failure such as this it may be worth contacting the manufacturer.
