Re: fridge too warm
First, verify that the fan is running in the freezer compartment. second check that there is no airflow blockage between freezer compartment and refrigerator compartment. if that does'nt solve the issue verify the defrost system is working.

Check and see if you have a fan that is not working. A condenser fan might just be your problem. The air is not circulating right. If this isn't the solution try turning the frig off for a couple of hours to see if it will correct the problem. BB
hotpoint ffa90, I have fridge and freezer problem, non of them are keeping the required temperature though the fridge temperature is showing the right temperature but not cold and the freezer is not freezing as it is contstant between -2 to -5 but it should be
-22, the fast freeze bottom does not fridge either, it does not take instruction.
You said, you recently had a problem with my Candy fridge freezer (it defrosted overnight and wasnt cooling at all) and a repair
shop diagnosed a thermostat problem. I have replaced the thermostat,
Now the freezer freezes without any problems but the fridge does not go
cold at all.
Also the compressor is running constantly
This is my first thought
Fresh Food temperature is too warm. Freezer temperature is satisfactory. 1. Fresh Food control is set too warm. 2. Set fresh food control to a colder setting. Allow 24 hours for temperature to stabilize.
3.Then see if you do not have your freezer articles packed full up to the top, or covering the cold air vents usually found in the rear of the freezer compartment.
The fridge and the freezer share the cold air so the air must not be restricted from travel form the freezer to the fridge and back! This would also cause the compressor to run none stop trying to cool the fridge! So check your air vents in the freezer. I'll bet you did not know they were there ! Most of us never notice! Hope this works for you. Please let me know that one of these solutions worked for you! or if you have any questions. Thank You, huuum Please remember to leave a rating!
just called in a sears technician 150 dollar bill that was an easy fix.
he says my bottom freezer kenmore fridge with warm fridge problem was
due to the pathway being blocked by ice and garbage which is common
with these fridges. he took off cover from the fridge bottom and poured
boiling water down to the freezer. try that before you replace any
parts or call in a tech. next time im getting a top freezer because the
blower is on the top not in the middle with the bottom freezers and
thus more problem prone.
Adjust the temperature control for the freezer to a normal setting. Fast freeze is only for when new products are put in that need to be frozen. This locks the system into a continuous run mode and could be responsible for the freezing condition in the refrigerator section. Check the temperatures with a thermometer as the sensor for the freezer temperature could be bad causing the light to come on.
Hi. The most common failure for this make refrigerator is a bad evaporator fan motor. You should feel air coming out of the diffuser in your freezer. If not, either the fan motor is bad or you have alot of frost build up on the evaporator. You would see alot of frost on the back wall of the freezer where the evaporator coil is located. If this is the case, most likely the defrost bimetal thermostat. But if no frost, the evaporator fan motor is most common and likely to be your problem. Visit me on Ebay username: themackshack.
