Dear Sir,for my above printer the problem is after installing the cartridges properly i keep on getting the message that the cartridges r not on proper slot.When i try to print a test page the yellowreset light starts blinking and this happens even ehen i try to align the cartridges.Communication between the printer and computer is perfect.Secondly after giging a print command the mechanism picks the papaer and immediately the reset yellow light flickers,then I put off the printer and the page comes out Can please give some solution.Thanks.Mr Perry Andrews

Sir/Ma'am If the Check Print Cartridge message is shown and Red Light Flashing then it means that Either ink Cartridge is not installed properly or the function for detecting the ink level is disabled. For it Make sure that you install ink cartridges at correct position as indicated by the label on the print head holder. Press push mark until ink cartridge click into the place. If you are sure then you have installed ink cartridge properly then try following to stop the flashing of red Light.
Lift the lid to the printer (cartridges are on the right side.)
Turn the printer off, then power it on again.
Unplug the power cable from the back of the printer when the grinding noise starts.
Move the carriage towards the middle of the printer (this procedure may take a couple of tries to get the timing correct.)
Take out the cartridges and close the top cover.
Reconnect the power cord. The power and the resume lights (green and red) should be on.
Open the top cover, reinstall the cartridges, and close the top cover.
Now Turn On the printer, Mostly this issue is resolved by this, But if still you get the message and red light still flash then surely its an issue of Ink Cartridge, your ink Cartridge is defective, You need to change the ink cartridge, Your problem will be solved. Mostly, printer cartridge error occurs when the printer head is unable to identify the cartridge properly. And the basic reason behind this is that the cartridge is improperly attached. To reattach the cartridge, turn on the lid of the printer and then remove the cartridge from the printer head. Check the cartridge to make sure that there are no scratches or other damaged parts that can contribute to a printer cartridge error report. Take note that the cartridge should not be left open for more than 30 minutes; otherwise the ink will start to dry up and the cartridge will get clogged.
Lift the printer cover. There is a slot on the right side by the ink cartridges. Push the end of your little finger into the slot. Close the lid. I know this sounds lame, but it has helped me many times. It seems the latch will stick and this usually unsticks it.
I had a similar problem when I tried to install a refilled HP cartridge. I took the cartridge out, unplugged the printer (hard boot), plugged it back in and reinstalled the cartridge. That got it to work.
If that doesn't work, try taking a cotton swab (q-tip, cotton bud) and clean the contacts on the ink cartridge. Even though they are gold plated, sometimes contamination will cover one or two contacts so the printer will not properly read the cartridge.
Check to make sure the cartridges are firmly snapped in, the latches are closed all the way, and there are no obstructions keeping the front or back covers from closing all the way.
You may wish to follow these instructions to clean the cartridge contacts, but be careful with this. You don't want to ruin the working cartridge.
Try printing a test page, or running a self-test according to these instructions. Then restart the printer and check for the error message.
Use the HP toolbox to print an alignment page, according to these instructions. (but don't clean)
Perform a power reset according to these instructions. If the message doesn't clear, try again but remove both power and data cables for at least 5 minutes.
If none of these works, you can either contact HP directly to see if they have any options, or replace the cartridges. But I don't see any harm from using the printer in that condition until you run out of ink, as long as the cartridges are properly installed and functioning well.

load drivers and your pc will communicate with your printer 6)for
reloding install the cd follow the instructions on the screen and click next 7)restart
when the printer is loded.connect the wires and cords properly.
I'd say your using dodgy aftermarket or non HP cartridges, you could put your old ones in and see if message goes away, if having problem when using with Original HP cartridges post back and I'll did deeper for you.
