check mouse pad settings on control panel , it may have been set for an external mouse, if all settings are correct, you have a faulty touch pad directly from supplier, send it back and have it replaced.
Do you have a micro USB device plugged in. Some touch pads automatically disable if you plug in any type of USB mouse device. You can also go into the device manager and uninstall the pad (do not use the delete/remove drivers option), then reboot. Windows will reinstall the device, and sometimes that fixes issues. Or do like it do and use a wireless mouse. I hate those touch pads anyway. ;-)
It sound like the touchpad has been disabled, either in the windows control panel or in the bios.
BIOS can be accessed during boot.
Windows control panel is accessed when running.
place mouse cursor anwyahere on desktop, RIGHT CLICK mouse, if you are using Winodws 98 or XP select properties, go to background and select image from your file.
Look at the keys on your keypad. Do you see one that may have a webcam symbol on it? If so try holding down on the Fn key, and pressing down on that key at the same time.
If this information does not help, then when Windows is loaded, and running, press the Start key, hover your mouse cursor on All Programs, go to the right, hover on >Packard Bell>drop down to >Security and Support>and then Packard Bell InfoCentre.
Click on Packard Bell InfoCentre. On this screen look at the icons across the top. Click on the icon all the way to the right. -> Guides It has an icon of a book in it. Look for Webcam.
Hi, my cursor had frozen on my screen after my grand daughter pressing something. After trying everything I decided to take it to a local computer shop, it was fixed in seconds. He held the arrow tab(below the caps lock tab) and then pressed F9 it worked!!
Hope this will fix your problem
In some of the forums, it has mentioned that the windows update could corrupt the video driver. So try uninstalling the video driver and download the latest video driver from website and install it. This must resolve the issue.
