Question about Apex Digital GB5108 51" Rear Projection EDTV-Ready Television
I can not turn my TV off or on, change stations, or control the sound using my remote. I put in new batteries, and the remote still does not function.
When ever I press a button, the red light comes on but nothing happens.
Since this TV was purchased in 2003, the remore does not have any program codes.
I am now wondering, if the remote needs to be replaced.
I've seen remote sensors that quit but it's rare, usually due to water getting dripped on them from cleaning. Pick up a cheap programmable remote and see if it will work. Long shot, check the menu, in some sets the remote can be programmed off.
