I have the same problem. My 8100 also keeps shutting off. Sometime it reboots quite fast but sometimes it takes so long that I have to take the battery out for around 10 sec and then place it back in it. If anybody knows the solution please post here.
my blackberry pearl 8100 keeps shutting itself off, trys to reboot, has the hour glass icon appear for about 6 seconds, shuts off, the red led light comes on, and shuts off. then the whole process repeats itself all over again. sort of a pain in the rear considering how great these phones are supposed to be huh? i know this is a software issue, and i will lose everything on my phone, but is there a way to reset the phone without getting into the options in the phone? thanks.
I can't try charging it while it is off, since anytime I put the battery in it goes into the cycle:1 whites screen with hourglass; 2 red LED; 3 all black; 1; 2; 3;.....

i have same problem....very annoying. But no idea how to fix it
I'm having the same issue with T-Mobile Pearl 8120. While I am on the phone, pearl shuts off and reset for about 2 mins and then the screen says, verifying software. This is such a pain especially when you're on some important phone calls. Anyone? please advice. Thx.
