Question about Ovens
My parents microwave (Panasonic NN-S740BA) oven seems to be working while the door is open. While the door is open the turntable is going around, the light is on and it makes the same sound as if you were to press in a time and press the START button. Is it possible the microwaves could be on and escaping while this is going on with the door open?
No there are three safety switches that control that the one that lets the magnetron run will blow the fuse if its bad you have a stuck door switch but there are recalls on some microwaves check here http://www.recalls.gov/ and here http://www.sears.com/shc/s/nb_10153_12605_NB_CSrecalls?adCell=AF or go to panasonic to find out other than that you need to replace a door switch let me know if i can be of further assistance
