I just bought a MacBookPro and Epson CX84000 printer, scanner, copier and can't print to printer...I have installed and uninstalled the software on the CD and also other software online that is supposed to be for OS 10.5 and still I can't print....it did print the first time I installed the CD software but it was gibberish and then just all blank pages...now I choose a page to print, click on print and it goes into the print queue for a second and then disappears and nothing from the printer not even a sound?? Anyone out there have any suggestions, Epson has been no help at all to this point. thanks, elaine
I have done that about 7 times already and nothing has changed....I have installed and uninstalled the downloaded software from Epson's site about 4 times already...any other suggestions...I am ready to throw the priinter out in the trash.

You do not say which operating system you are using.
In Windows operating systems, generally:
Start > (Control Panel) > Printer(s) > right click on Epson SX100 icon > Printing Preferences > Maintenance > Ink Cartridge Replacement > follow on screen instructions > head cleaning >print test page.
Print a document > Print Dialog Box > click "How To..." > Maintenance > Ink Cartridge Replacement > follow on screen instructions > head cleaning >print test page.

Try uninstalling your printer, rebooting the computer, then re-installing your printer. If this does not work, it will require the printer top cover to be removed for further investigation. Either take the printer to a technician to investigate, or if you want to have a go yourself, post a new comment to this effect and I will provide information on how to proceed.
Hi nurse_boop (Lainey),
You can try changing some of the printer settings.
Assuming you're using Windows, go to Start, Printers and Faxes, and right click on your printer, choose Properties:
1. Make sure that you disable printer pooling;
2. Check/tick, print directly to the printer;
3. Check/tick, Printer is Always Available.
Please keep in mind that large file sizes, images and deep colors adds to the slowdown and pauses of printers. Hardware wise, large documents requires more memory both on the printer server PC and the printer itself.
Hope this be of some help to you. Post back how things are or should you need further information.
Good luck and kind regards.
