Hello
I think you should put some cooling fluid on the CPU and make sure the fan runs smoothly otherwise try to grease it or if its hopeless replace it with a new one , I know it is not that much but it is THAT important.

hope this helps.

It gets very hot and turns itself off. I took it apart and cleaned all dust and dirt away... it is really clean now! But when I turn it on again the fan works a little and goes off... after a while it...

The problem is with your Cleaning!
I think that you've removed the Heat sink and wiped off all the Thermal Paste off the processor while cleaning the laptop.
Please don't switch on your computer the processor could get damaged. To solve this Purchase Thermal Paste appropriate for your laptop from a local store and apply it carefully on top of the processor and install the heat sink above it firmly this should solve the problem.

Runs way too hot, overheats and shuts down. Besides geneal external cleaning hints, any suggestions? Like how to run fans at max rpm always? Or how to open it up to thoroughly clean it?

Check that all of the air vents are left unblocked and that your fan is spinning and expelling warm/hot air. It is recommended you use your laptop on a hard flat surface to ensure some airflow under the laptop. You could try purchasing a can of compressed air and blowing it into the vents to loosen up any built up of dust and hair.
If you are skilled enough you could open the laptop up to completely clean the fans and heatsink. Whilst it is open you can remove the heatsink, clean the old thermal paste off of the CPU and GPU and apply a very thin, evenly spread layer of fresh thermal paste. Then put the machine back together.
As for the fans, download a free application called SpeedFan and read through it. It will monitor your core temperatures and it has some options for controlling fans if your hardware allows it.
Hope this helps,

After running my PS3 for a while to watch movies, the unit fan gets very loud, is this normal?

this shouldnt happen, the problem is the fan is blocked and needs clearing out, as the system gets hotter and the hot air needs to get out if dust is blocking this happening then the ps3 fan will make a loud noice,

try cleaning it with a DAMP cloth, not wet as you dont want to break it, try blowing into the fan as well, also clean the whole ps3 and the surrounding area so its dust free.

hopefully your fan isnt broke inside, if it is and your still within warranty take it back and get it fixed

good luck

hope this helped,

Check for blockage of the path for air to get into and out of the vents. You might want to blow dirt out with compressed air.

The fans are "throttled" depending on the sensed temperature in the processor.

Sony pcg-k33 fan is making noises i took comp apart and cleaned fans with brush but noises still exists and are loud and squeeky

that's the actual fan, brushes may need some fresh oil (like wd40), means opening the lappy back up and removing the fan and dropping some oil inside the fan bearing area (where the fan and hub connect)
this should stop the sounds and help the fan move freely.
though this is also a sign that the fan is unhealthy and will eventually need replaced.
hope this helps.

Sounds like your machine is overheating big time. You didnt say if it boots up or not, but I wouldnt keep trying until someone can look at it. You probably need a new fan, possibly hard drive, hopefully not mother board.

Sony Vaio laptop fan is very loud and continously running

My pcg-k33 was very noisy (fan) so I vacuumed the fan opening with a powerful shop vac. This helped alot. I think that the CPU temperature triggers the fan so keeping the cooling system clean is important. As well, there are openings on the bottom for air so it is important to keep the unit on a surface that doesn't impede airflow (on your lap is a bad idea)
