I have had the G'ZOne for at least 6 months with no problems, until recently whenever I end a call or simply close the phone the power simply cuts off. I dont think I have put my phone to near the abuse it claims it can take and yet there is still some major issue. I have tried brushing along the contact points of the battery, but did not help at all. Any Advice?
My G'zOne Type-V is about a year old and I recently started having this problem. It appears to have been corrected by cleaning the five spring-loaded pins in the phone with a vinyl eraser and cleaning the contact surfaces in the battery with an alcohol dampened cotton swab. After doing this the phone continues to work even when forcefully closed. In my case, there was no visible corrosion on either the battery or the pins.
As an extra preventative measure, I applied a bit of silicone grease to the contact surfaces to help keep water out, which is a bit redundant since there is a lip on the phone that forms a seal against the battery. Another option would be to use some type of electrical contact cleaner, though be careful that the solvent doesn't attack the plastic.

Same problem for me... I have to be "Gentle" to the rugged phone...
Same here, phone never has been abused, and now I have to be "gentle' with the rugged phone...
Yup, same problem. At the end of a call, the phone seems to freeze and then powers down and then starts up again.
The same thing hapens when I hit the send button to see the last call or when I go into "recent calls" or "missed calls"
I have had the exact same problem with my G'z one. I think the battery has poor contact with the phone. Thus, shutting the phone causes disrupts the power. Recently I noticed a whole bunch of corrosion on the the battery's contacts. It only works when plugged in now.
