Phone Powers down whenever it is closed with any small force at all

I have had the G'ZOne for at least 6 months with no problems, until recently whenever I end a call or simply close the phone the power simply cuts off. I dont think I have put my phone to near the abuse it claims it can take and yet there is still some major issue. I have tried brushing along the contact points of the battery, but did not help at all. Any Advice?

Yup, same problem. At the end of a call, the phone seems to freeze and then powers down and then starts up again.

The same thing hapens when I hit the send button to see the last call or when I go into "recent calls" or "missed calls"

I have had the exact same problem with my G'z one. I think the battery has poor contact with the phone. Thus, shutting the phone causes disrupts the power. Recently I noticed a whole bunch of corrosion on the the battery's contacts. It only works when plugged in now.

My G'zOne Type-V is about a year old and I recently started having this problem. It appears to have been corrected by cleaning the five spring-loaded pins in the phone with a vinyl eraser and cleaning the contact surfaces in the battery with an alcohol dampened cotton swab. After doing this the phone continues to work even when forcefully closed. In my case, there was no visible corrosion on either the battery or the pins.

As an extra preventative measure, I applied a bit of silicone grease to the contact surfaces to help keep water out, which is a bit redundant since there is a lip on the phone that forms a seal against the battery. Another option would be to use some type of electrical contact cleaner, though be careful that the solvent doesn't attack the plastic.

Incoming calls on Sony Ericsson K800i used to prompt Answer/Busy options, but recently I get Send/Busy, both resulting in sending a busy-signal.

Try disconecting the base unit from power and phone line for 10 minutes and also remove for a minute and reinstall the battery on the hand unit.
Should reset to factory settings.

Best to you

Having problem to shut macbook

Click the Apple logo at the top left hand corner of your screen and select "Force Quit". On the small window that pops up, select the trouble app and click Force Quit. If the app does not close, hold down the power button until the screen goes black. This will not harm your computer (since it's a Mac) and you can boot it back up afterwards.

I have a sidekick and when i changed it to spanish, now doesnt do anything at all it powers on and the rolling ball doesnt work and doesnt responds to anything, anyone knows something ?!

You may need to perform a Master Reset. This will fully restore your phone to it's factory settings.

To do this, remove your SIM card and follow these directions:

1) Flip the screen as if your about to close it.

2) On the upper right hand side look closely. You will see a little arrow pointing to a small circle.

3) Push in the circle with a paperclip and at the same time hold down the power button.

4) Remember to push both at the same time and keep them pushed in until the phone turns off.

5) Once the phone turns off you have done the hard reset successfully.

6) Then, turn your phone back on normally.

I had installed Firefox 3.5 and soon discovered that whenever I closed Firefox I wasn't able to reopen the program. So, I removed the software and installed an earlier version. that seemed to alleviate the...

Perhaps you have some plugin installed that freezes and doesn't let Firefox close?
After you close Firefox, go to Task Manager (hit Ctrl+Shift+Escape), choose "Processes" tab and look for Firefox.exe - you can select it and force it to terminate, that way you'll be able to start it again without reboot.
Try disabling or uninstalling plugins until you find the culprit.

I-mate PDA2K shuts down without reason, requiring hard reset.

i had the same problem. but after changing the battery its oky now. its better u change your battery. u will end up the problem. but before changing the battery just c that is the outer cover of i-mate intact or not. because the problem with me was another one also. the external small cover could not be properly closed and it would move whenever i moved the cell phone alot. because there is a sensor along the shutting edges of the back cover. untill its closed completely your imate will give u the same problem. so first see the the cover is not moving all the time and if u do not have problem with that then change your battery. love u buddy. babay. a cute pakistani.

APPLE IPHONE DEAD ZONE? ON KEYPAD 4 5 AND 6 WONT WORK (AND EVERYTHING ON THAT LEVEL!)

Try switching the phone off for a couple of hours. I had the same problem and tried everything, until I went to the movies and switched off the phone. When I came out and switched it on again it was working fine - incredible but true!
