Fault F63

Roger
Depending on the model number - (guessing its a W48XX series) F63 is a water path fault - This is the control unit that directs the water flow to the proper path (pre-wash, detergent, fabric softener ect..... ) Sometimes and audible clicking can be heard when this unit fails as it trying to switch to the proper path as per the program being ran.

Washing Machine will not start

either your door actuator is broken or the door switch itself. look at the door and see if the latch(actuator) is broken or loose. If not order a door switch. It can be changed easy if you remove the retainer from the bellows and loosen it from the front of machine.
Hope that helps

Washer fills and agitates (goes through cycles), but does not empty water or spin. Troubleshooting indictes it might be the lid switch. How do I remove the switch?

It is a common fault that the drain fails to work in most machines in a period of time and is the most problematic fault in a washing machine. In all occasions it is important that your observation is most important and so is vital to the identification /rectification and solution. Inthis case the fault seems to be the drain and not the lid switch as if the switch is faulty then the program will nbot start. The drain pump/valve can be clogged. Now remove the drain hose clamps and remove the drain pump/valve, clean the drain pump/valve, use back flushing to clear off all dirt. Now test using power to see if this works and can be simulated. When refitting, the hose must be tightened properly. If the pump/valve does not work even with power then it must be replaced. If there is intermittent power to the drain valve/pump then the program controller unit is a suspect.

Finally the washer must be placed with a tilt- use a spirit level- so that all water will drain to the outlet port and thereby there is no residual water remaining.

Replacing the pump on a Bosch machine, please check this link for tips:

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

The problem seems to be with either the wiring harness that got loose/broken or the display panel has gone bad and needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Moffatt washer is washing and draining but not spinning out the clothes

> Home / Repairs DIY washing machine advice (part 8) Washing machine sticks or stops mid-cycle repairs-sm.gif A very common fault on washing machines is when the program timer fails to complete the cycle and stops part way through. Many people blame the program timer for this but although it is a possible cause, there are many more likely causes for this fault. The program will stick if the heater isn't working, if the thermostat fails, if it can't fill up with cold water for the rinses, if it can't empty the water etc. There are too many possible causes of this fault to be able to give anything other than rudimentary advice. However, the common causes of a washing machine sticking that can easily be fixed are filling and emptying problems.
Check that the cold water supply is available to the washing machine, which is a common cause for sticking on rinses. If the washing machine appears to stop mid-cycle and isn't filling with water on rinses then see Washing machine won't fill with water (or no water goes into washing machine) before calling an engineer. If the washing machine can't drain the water out then it will stick on the rinses, or it will abort with an error code. If you can see water still inside the washing machine then check the following advice Washing machine won't empty water

WWD45 machine will not comlpete wash cycle, have been advised to clean filters which are all clear but problem still persists

The problem with BOSH model WWD45 washing machine not comlpleting the wash cycle going On & On endlessly, in my case was temperature related. This fault was diagnosed by setting temperature to COLD, instead of 30? or 40?. The machine was able to complete its full cycle with no problem. In my case I found the heater element to be faulty. When the wash is set to a certain temperature, the program awaits for the temperature to be reached. Because the resistance in element is broken the water never heats up, therefore the program cycle never finishes its waiting for a temperature feedback. Alfredo da Silva

Hotpoint ultima wt721 error code fo2 showing! will not work properly!

Error code F02 means the motor has jammed, and or the tacho is loose or broken. .Check the motor hasn't jammed up somehow, or that the small tacho coil on the end of the motor hasn't dropped off (tip the machine back and it's in between the brushes - it should be held in place with a clip. If it's hanging loose it's the fault)

This fault code basically means the PCB cannot detect any impulses from the tacho coil on the motor, so the main implication is that the motor is just not running. However, because other fault codes cover most of the other motor faults, the PCB thinks the motor may be physically jammed. That is, as far as the PCB is concerned, it is supplying the motor with power, but it can't detect the motor is running. This fault is not caused by worn carbon brushes because on these washing machines, an open circuit on the motor causes the washing machine to do nothing at all. It would not fill, or empty (as well as the motor wouldn't run) although the indicator lights would work.
