Ah well if you used the jumper to reset the bios whilst you had the unit apart this wouldnt happen. Either reset with the jumper or unplug the unit, remove the battery and remove the cmos battery for over a day. The cmos battery may be backed up with a capacitor to hold a charge and retain settings.
The only way you can bypass other than the above is to have the eeprom reflashed on the bench.
