Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

You can not play WMV or ASF media on a website with Internet Explorer's Media Bar turned on. Internet Explorer has its own player for the Media Bar. To get around the c00d11cd error being generated you need to turn the Media Bar off. To disable Internet Explorer's (version 6) Media Bar click the Media button on the main Toolbar, then click "Media Options" in the new pane that opens. Now select "settings", and then un check "Play web media in the bar".
There is no need to restart your machine as this will take effect immediately.

You have a "playlist" on your PC that you are trying to copy to a CD-R. When you hit the copy button it goes straight to the c00d11cd error!
The most likely cause is DRM. Check the songs on your "playlist" to see if any of the content protected. To do this simply "right click" on each song, then select the "license tab". If any of the songs are protected then you can NOT copy them without the appropriate DRM authority. (DRM = Digital Rights Management) You will need to check with the site you purchased from to see the level of DRM used.

You have a "playlist" on your PC that you are trying to copy to another computer. When you try and play on the new computer it goes straight to the c00d11cd error!
The most likely cause is DRM. (DRM = Digital Rights Management)
It is likely you purchased and downloaded from a site Like Walmart.com Online stores like these set restrictions on what you can do with the .WMA files you download. It is likely that the DRM licence for your download restricts you copying to another PC. You will need to check with the site you purchased from to see the level of DRM used.
-----------------------------------------------
You can not copy songs from a CD in the CD drive to your hard disk. Windows Media Player generates the c00d11cd error.

The most likely cause is that something has gone wrong with the special file responsible for the "encoding". The name of the file is: wmadmoe.dll
The first thing we need to do is re-register this file with Windows XP To do this go to the "Start Menu" and select "Run". Now type in the following: regsvr32 wmadmoe.dll

If this does not work then the file itself may be corrupt. To fix this go to the "Start Menu" again and select "Run". Now type in the following: sfc /scannow
This will now scan your XP machine to see if there are any corrupt system files. If there are any then XP will prompt you for the XP CD so it can get a new copy... This may help you resolve the c00d11cd error.

This will get you up and running again, however due to some underlying problems with your installation you may actually need to re-install Windows Media Player.

Please rate this fixya

You need to upgrade your player’s firmware if you experience any of the following:

  • When your attempt to use the player, the Found New Hardware bubble appears and then flashes between several messages including MTP Connected, Don't Disconnect, MTP Device found, MTP Device may not work properly, or There was a problem during installation.
  • The player constantly appears and disappears in Device Manager or appears in Device Manager with an exclamation point indicating an error.
  • Your computer sounds the connecting and disconnecting chime when you connect the player to the USB port.
  • The player does not appear in My Computer.
  • Uninstalling Windows Media Player 11 and using Windows Media Player 10 corrects the issue.
  • When you use the player on another PC or laptop, it works flawlessly.
  • Your player was working properly with Windows Media Player 10, but you’ve recently upgraded to Windows Media Player 11 and your computer no longer detects it.
  • Go to Samsung.com, enter in the model u have in the search area and then go to support, this should fix the problem!

When it the zen is turned on it says firmware

Had the same problem and nearly went nuts trying to fix it. Here's what I did:

1. Uninstall all creative driver & creative software.
2. Uninstalled Windows Media Player 11 (Rolled back to WMP 10) and restarted PC.
3. Uninstalled Windows Media Player 11 Runtime and restarted PC.
4. Downloaded and Installed the latest free version of Winamp from http://www.winamp.com
5. Connected my A/C Power Cord to my Nomad Jukebox then connected my Nomad Jukebox via USB cable to the Computer.

The computer should then recognize the Nomad Jukebox as "Found New Hardware" then "MTP Device" and lastly "Your new hardware is installed and ready to use.

6. If you haven't already, go to the creative website and download the Creative Zen Xtra PlaysForSure Firmware 2.10.03 and save it to your computer.
7. Run the Firmware (Make sure Nomad Jukebox is connected) and at this point the Computer should recognize the Nomad Jukebox and begin the upgrade.

After your upgrade is complete, You can go ahead and re-download Windows Media Player 11 and it will recognize the Nomad Jukebox. Not sure what version of windows you have, but I have two computers, one with windows xp and the other has windows 7 and Im able to transfer music perfectly fine with Windows Media Player and RealPlayer on both computers. I hope this works for you. Good Luck!

Just installed nero 7 software on my comp. and really messed up all my music files. all my saved files have lost there names & are know numbered tracks of nero media type. Same applys to media i...

hi sir,

by default, you have a music player installed on your system or maybe using windows media player before nero 7 was installed, unluckily, when you did installed your nero 7 it has it's own music player. by the time nero finishes the installation, nero prompts you what media types you are using, by default, nero had selected it's own files types...thats why your music compilation and playlist messed up.

in order to get things back, just right click any music files you have, go to properties, click change for types of file then select the application you want play with your music.

Actually a HDD6320

The HDD6320 is not compatible with Windows Media Player 11.
You will need to uninstall Media Player 11, to roll back to version 10.

Also, it is not compatible with Windows Vista.

If you haven't already, install the Philips Device Manager from the product CD.

Connect the HDD6320 to the mains and PC.

Select the repair/restore option and follow the on-screen prompts.

If the HDD6320 is still not recognised, let me know if the player shows the connection icon on-screen, and I'll try to help further.

If you have recently upgraded to Windows Media Player 11, either manually or via Windows Update, this could be the problem.

In this case, uninstall Windows Media Player 11 from Add or Remove Programs, in Control panel.
Also uninstall Windows Media 11 runtime.
This will roll back to Windows Media Player 10.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

If you are already using Media Player 10, this problem could also be caused by corrupt firmware on the player.
make sure you have Philips Device Manager installed, from the product CD.
Run Philips Device Manager, and select the restore or repair option, then follow the on-screen prompts.

This will format the player and re-flash the corrupt firmware. All tracks on the player will be deleted.

Reload a few tracks to test.

How

IMPORTANT: Do not drag and drop pictures into the GoGear with Windows Media Player or Windows Explorer. Also ONLY JPG/JPEG images are supported.
First check your computer to see if you have the latest version of the Philips Plug-in installed.
  1. Click Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Program.
  2. Search and select Philips Device Plug-in. Click “Click here for support information” to check the version.
  3. If you already have the latest version (V3.13.00 for HDD6330 or HDD6320) (V3.14.00 for HDD1420, HDD1620, HDD1630, HDD1635 or HDD1830) then there is no need to upgrade.

If you need to upgrade your Philips Plug-in:
  1. Launch Internet Explorer
  2. Go to the Philips support site at http://www.ph ilips.com/support
  3. Select your country & language.
  4. Enter the model number and click on "Search".
  5. Select the model number if there is more than one listed.
  6. Click on Software & drivers on the left-side menu.
  7. Double click the respective language under PC Software to save the exe file on your PC.
  8. Download the file to your Desktop on your PC.
  9. Run the LM_XXX.exe to start the installation.
  10. Follow the screen instructions to complete the installation of Philips device plug-in.

Once you have the latest version of the Philips Plug-in installed, please follow the below steps to transfer your picture(s) onto your GoGear.
  1. Launch Windows Media Player.
  2. Go to File> Help> About Windows Media Player to check if the ve rsion is 10. If not uninstall your existing version of Windows Media Player and install the correct version of Windows Media Player from the installation CD1 or Microsoft's website.
  3. Make sure the Philips Plug-in is installed on your PC. To check whether this Plug-in is available on your computer, go to Start> Control Panel> Add or Remove Programs and check if Philips Device Plug-in is listed. If not, re-install the software from the installation CD2.
  4. Check and make sure that the "Enable picture support for devices" option on Windows Media Player has been selected.
    060324025925_11759.gif
  5. Go to File> Add to library. From the menu, choose to add pictures from folder or by searching your computer. These files will be added to your library.
Note! Files that are directly under “My pictures” should be saved in a s ub-folder before adding them to your library. If you do not do this they will show up in Windows Media Player with the event name “Unknown” and they will not show on your player.
  6. Click on the Library tab. Go to All Pictures. Click to highlight the item you want to copy. Right click on the item and select Add to> Sync List.
    051213074338_7175.gif
  7. Click on the Sync tab and select "Sync List". Choose Philips as your destination in the device pane.
    051213074558_7176.gif
  8. Click on the "Start Sync" button in the top left corner to start the transfer. Once the images start to synchronize the computer will show:
    051028091952_1761.gif.
(If you cannot see the above Philips Device Plug-in pop up, your Philips device plug in may not be installed properly. Please uninstall and reinstall Windows Media Player& nbsp;using both installation CD ROMs.)
  9. After the transfer is complete unplug the GoGear from the computer.
  10. You can then view pictures (thumbnail view and full picture view) from the Pictures menu.

I cant install nextar mp3 to the computor

Did you go into device manager and uninstall the mp3 player off of your compputer and the reinstall it? If not try that go into control panel then go to hardware then go to the button that says view installed hardware the go to uninstall device! Then reinsert the mp3 player back into your computer and try again. Also if you are not already try upgrading to the latest version of windows media player most mp3 players will malfunction if you do not have at least windows(R) media player 10 although 11 is the newest version available.
