Nintendo wont charge or turns on. F1 & F2 fuses are good.

I have a Nintendo ds lite. My kid was playing and it quit working. The light would come on for a second when plug in the battery charger. So this means it is not even charging the battery. Both F1 & F2 fuses are good. The console would not turn on at all. I got nothing no lights. I have check the on/off switch and that is good. Battery is good with 4 volts. Any more ideas?? Thank you. i have looked at the motherboard nothing seemed burnt out. To what I can see anyway. Only thing I could see was on the back of the screen on the soft pad where it was touching the back side of the F2 fuse. There was a slight corrosion. I cleaned it off. Here is the link:

Check the L2 as well (under the power switch). Replace if necessary.

Nintendo wont charge or turns on. F1 & F2 fuses are good.

Mine has the same problem. I bridged the two fuses, but it didn't fix it at all.
The corrosion indicates it might have gotten a drop of water (or something) in it. A single drop of anything -- spray from glasses cleaner, sweat, leaving it in the bathroom while you shower, condensation from bringing it from the cold -- could all potentially do the thing in. Check to see if there's a little pink square on the inside of the DS: I think that's the moisure "alarm"
I tried another suggestion about cleaning the contacts on all the ribbon cables, however I did the thing in permanently in the process. They're really not meant to be repaired with ordinary tools -- although they could have been... it's just a design decision that was made. At this time I was just spending the extra effort to make it useful again because I can't stand waste (although I realize now that it's largely disposable, and I have to keep buying them to get my return on the investment in carts!)
They're pretty fragile things in general.. for a toy. A little plastic seal could have prevented many thousands of these things from konking out. That, and the complete lack of official information except to send it in for repair at 80% of the cost of a new one makes me wonder if they make more money from the repair business as the initial device sales!

Ds lite wont turn on and the battery has been needed to be charged more often?

If the battery is charged and you get no power when trying to turn on the DS lite, either fuse F1 or F2 is burned out. This is a tiny internal part that can be fixed by a repairman.

Will not turn on, tried a new battery still the same, tried charging, still the same. The battery is charged up but still wont come on.

Good idea trying a new battery / charged battery etc.

Now this is the part that I tell you that your DS Lite is done for. Unless it's under warranty there's nothing left for you to do but to replace it with a working one.

You could either keep it for parts (lcd, casing, etc) or sell it on eBay and put that money towards a new one.

Sorry for the bad news, but I hope this info helps.

My nintendo ds wont charge and the light wont go red wen its charging i think i need a new battery

Before getting a new battery, make sure your charger isn't the thing that's broken. To do this, borrow a charger that works good from a friend and try charging your DS. If it doesn't work, than get a new battery.

Ds broken? Green light blinks, bottom screen flashes, turns off.

You will have to open it up and desolder the fuse that says, F2, and then solder a small piece of wire onto the two spaces that the fuse sat on in order for you to bridge the fuse because it's probably blown. Then try powering it up. If it works, then you have just repaired it. If it doesn't then there must be another fuse that is blown. Try testing the fuses with a multi-meter. I am guessing that it could be the F1 fuse if the F2 fuse was also the culprit. Do the same thing to bridge the F1 fuse and then it should work.
