2.Cleanup the touchpad on the right corners ( unit OFF )

There are three lights on the upper right hand side of the keyboard. I know number lock and caps lock, what is the third light and what keys did i hit that made it go on? How do I turn it off?

The third light on your keyboard is normally the scroll lock, the key to enable/disable this function is the Scroll Lock key which is located above the Home key.

Is it posible to disable the scroll lock

Yes, all you have to do is press the Scroll lock button. You have not specified what brand is your laptop but I can still explain you. Laptops have small keyboards thats why they use an additional key called "Fn". It works like the Shift key.

If you press Shift + the .(dot) key, for example, it will print >. Similarly, you press a combination of Fn and other keys for different things. Look for "ScrLck" , "Scroll" or similar on your keyboard. When you find it press Fn + that key to disable scroll lock. Hope that helps.

Some letters like ( a;e,i,o,p ,y) ar nt working on the keybo

for people who activate them accidentally. If you decide you need to disable a key, just follow these easy steps:

1. From the Tools menu, select Customize…
2. In the
Customize dialog box, click Keyboard
3. The Customize Keyboard dialog box will open
4. In the scroll box beneath the Categories label, select All Commands
5. In the Commands scroll box, find the command name for the key or keystroke (you’ll have to do some searching to find the specific key you wish to disable, but here’s a freebie: to disable the Insert key, select overtype)
6. Highlight the key or key sequence in the box below the Current keys label
7. In the drop down box beside the label Save changes in: select Normal to apply the change to all documents created in Word. To disable the key only to the current document, select the document name from the list
8. Click Remove and then Close
9. Click Close on the Customize dialog box

Scroll Lock on -- mystery

On the Logitech LX710 Lazer the Scroll Lock option is toggled by holding down the "Function" key and pressing the "Pause/Break" key. If you look at the P/B key you will see a little orange symbol of an arrow pointing down to remind you of this feature. This can be disabled in the Setpoint panel by selecting Keyboard and Keyboard Inactive Keys then place a check in Disable Scroll Lock so you may have to remove a check mark first.

Computer locked

there are combinations of function or "hot keys" for enabling or disabling these functions. The NuLk is a combo of the functin key and the NumLk key pressed simultaneously. The scroll lock is the one keeping your mouse from working properly. I'm not familiar with your particular unit to advise which keys are necessary to disable Scroll lock, but they should be marked. Also, some notebooks have a switch to disable the mousepad...Usually indicated by a light located above the pad itself. Good luck Harvester3
