I bought a used Kia sportage with the galaxy remote starter in it, dealer could not tell me anything about it, when I lock my doors by hand cause I can't get the remote to do it, it automatically beeps a horn as a alarm is on and when I try to go to my car the horn beeps loudly but I cannot get the remote to shut it off I have to hurry and start car with key to shut off.
Do not lock doors with facory switch it is setting the factory alarm must shops dont get the factory disarm alarm wire to shut it off.this will always happen use the remote with the remote starter to lock and unlock doors and it should be fine

if you dont know the code too use and have the manual now
try to find the type you have look in google for the manual
make model and add the works user manual or similar search
or.. just go to the £1 shop and buy a decent universal
i got one works for me
just press set and hold for a few seconds
the led comes on
then press the red power on
and it starts to transmit turn on off signals
so once it turns on be quick and press the TV buttons
its the button in a row to choose different devices
so this stores the new code
from the manual you can find the codes sometimes not
but you can also get the remote too tell you the code that works
and then note it and if anything goes wrong you dont need to do the set search again
try to use the manual for your one or find it saves any waste
the unit can be programmed to lock the doors after starting, to make it leave it alone you have to enter the programming(ignition on, press the valet switch 5 times within 5 seconds, the lights will flash 3 times to signal you have entered programming, then press valet switch 10 times(lock after start setting) within 5 seconds hit the unlock button on the remote (button closest to the side with the other buttons) then turn off the ignition to save the settings and it should be done
manual for the system is found at scytek.net under the download section
It sounds like the system needs tach sensor reprogramming. The remote start system may have a tachometer sensing mode where the system "knows" that the car is running and to stop cranking the starter when when the engine is running. Generally when the vehicles battery is disconnected the system "forgets" the setting of the tachometer at idle which is programmed at the time if installation. Take it to a remote start installation store for this or get a hold of a maual for your system and shouldnt be too dificult to program.
