Question about Vacuums
Electrolux power nozzle model 1692 power cuts on and off. I don't have the manual for it but I'm trying to remove and clean the brush compartment. I removed the top but not sure how to get to the brush. I would like to find a manual for it because it's completely different than the one I use to have.

YOU DON'T SAY IF YOU HAVE THE NEWER HOSE OR THE CLASSIC ONE WITH THE STEEL TIP (BETTER DESIGN). IF IT'S THE LATTER UN-SCREW THE SCREW CLOSEST TO THE STEEL TIP,TAKE A SMALL SCREW DRIVER AND LIFT THE THE PIECE OF PLASTIC THAT WAS SCREWED DOWN JUST ENOUGH TO SLIP THE HOSE OUT.
WHAT YOU'LL BE FACED WITH IS SOMETHING I WOULDN'T SUGGEST CUTTING.
IT MAY BE MORE PRACTICAL BUYING A NEW HOSE. AN ELECTROLUX WILL LAST FOREVER,BUT YOU DO HAVE TO REPLACE THINGS LIKE THE COMBO DUST/UPHULSTRY ATTACHMENT. THE HOSE IS PROBABLY THE FIRST THING YOU WOULD NEED TO REPLACE BECAUSE OF AIR LEAKS. I'VE HAD MY OLYMPIA ONE FOR 27 YEARS AND HAD TO REPLACE THE HOSE ABOUT 10 YEARS AGO. YOUR CHOICE.
