Question about Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) Console

1 Answer

PSP 1001 Should the WLAN be turned on or off. I am totally new to this toy! I put in the game "Suduko" and get as far as when asked to select my choice of "TIP" no. 1, 2, or 3. If I choose one, two, or three, it won't stay there. It starts out the sentence of her talking about the tip, but only gets about 2 words in and then pops back to the choices. I try over and over and get no where. could you help me? When is says to push the "O" I do and it will not do anything. If it asks me to pus the "x" it will go forward. It asks me if I want to continue on with this game It will just sit there. I have tried the "home" button, no luck Thanks you for any help Eileen

Wlan when turned on is in active mode to search for an active access point. which you will be able to connect to the internet. with that game of suduko, even if you try to go forward, it just keeps returning as if nothing happens right. it only means that you need to be connected to the internet for the game to continue.

If you are getting an error stating A toy on the Portal of Power has a problem, follow these steps to reset your broken toy.

Skylanders SWAP Force
  1. With the toy on the Portal, select Pause.
  2. Select Skylander.
  3. Select Manage.
  4. Select Reset. If you are resetting a swappable toy, you must reset both the Top and the Bottom separately.
Skylanders Giants
  1. Keep the broken Skylanders toy on the Portal of Power and open the Pause Menu.
  2. Return to the Main Menu.
  3. Open Settings.
  4. Select General.
  5. Select Reset Broken Toys.
  6. Select Yes when you are asked to reset the Skylanders toy.
  7. Repeat Steps 5 and 6.
  8. Keep the reset Skylanders toy on the Portal of Power and start a game in Story Mode.
Your Skylanders toy will now work again.

If the screen turns black after returning to the game, try again starting with Step 1.

I accedentally delete files on flash 0,then my psp suddenly turned off and poof!!!!! i can't acces everything on it.i turned it on but it was just a green light(power LED indicator).help!!!

1st your get a 1 gig memory stick and an a extra battery, then you make the battery a pandora, either by hard modding it or buying a low volt pandora from internet. then you download a file onto your psp memory stick google "magic memory stick" it should contain a new firmware either custom or ofw. then you put your pandora battery in the psp with the mem stick, then turn on the psp while holding one of the recovery buttons on my psp 1001 its the right bumper. hold that till you get the recovery menu then you should see an option that says "Install Custom firmware" or "Install Original Firmware" select the one you want, then bam your flashed files that are needed to run your psp is back on your flash 0, plus if you wanna download free psp games and roms your able to run them on your new modded psp but you have to select CFW in order to run mods.

How to set up sony PSP to pick up WIFI from a home router..do not have Manual

Ok firstly turn on your PSP then follow these simple steps.
1. Goto the far left menu and scroll down to Network Settings then press X.
2. The next screen asks you either Ad Hoc or Infrastructure, choose Infrastructure.
3. Select "New Connection" on the next screen
4. The next screen is "WLAN Settings". Select "Scan".
5. After it has completed the scan it will bring up a list of wireless signals and the name of the particular router which is the "SSID"
6. Select which SSID is yours.
7. The next screen will say "SSID" and underneath your SSID. Press right on the D-Pad.
8. The next screen is WLAN security settings. Select WPA-PSK(TKIP) as this is the most common. If at this point it does not work, go through these steps again but select WPA-PSK(AES)
9. Press right on the D-Pad again and the next screen will ask you for your WPA Key. This is your security key that the router requires for anything to be able to connect to it. Usually it is found on a sticker on your router or it is supplied on a card when you first got your router.
10. After you have entered you WPA key press right on the D-Pad
11. The next setting is Address Settings. Select Easy.
12. Press right on the D-Pad, then right again. Check everything on the settings list is correct then press right once more.
13. Finally press X to save the settings
14. The last step will be to test your connection. If everything went well there should be no errors and you can return to the home screen.

I hope this helps

I have a sony psp how do I check what type it is?

usually there is a sticker below the select/start button. its like a barcode. and at the end of it should read something like this.....psp 1000 or psp 1001 (these are also known as the "FAT") psp 2000 or psp 2001(these are also known as the "SLIMS"), psp 3000 or psp 3001 etc.. (these are also known as the "NEW SLIM"), and of course you have the new psp which is the psp-go and they look totally different all together.

if you want to know what firmware version you have turn on your psp and go to SETTINGS>SYSTEM SETTINGS>SYSTEM INFORMATION.. and click "X" it should show you these information

system software -- the latest version of firmware u installed on your psp

nickname -- the name you gave your psp when you set it up

mac address -- mac address
