Question about Gaggia Titanium Espresso Machine
After I decalcified, the unit would go into ventilate mode about once a week of use. It would not clear by using the hot water valve. I would have to prime using the turkey baster method described in another thread. I decalcified two more times back to back. During the rinse portion I noticed the flow of water was intermittently not strong and steady. It would get weak and almost stop then back to normal. Now the coffee pour does the same thing, the machine seems to know the amount of coffee that is flowing because it will keep pouring until the cup is at the correct amount even thought it now takes three times as long. Does this sound like a clog in the line or a weak pump?
Most likely is a broken/failed "Steam Valve Cam" which actuates the steam/hot water needle valve. This part is made of plastic and prone to wear/failure.
