Cant do anything my computer wont go to the os

Hello,
What you need to do my friend is remove the CMOS battery, then remove the power cord from the computer. Press the power button on the front of the pc, you might at this point see a temporary flash of the power LED (at this point the cmos /bios is now cleared and reloaded with the defaults.
Next, put the battery back in and then the power and boot to the bios. Just reload all settings as needed and you should be back in business!!!

Bios Error Message

With the system off, open the side cover and re-seat the RAM. You may have one module that is bad.
Second, press F2 as soon as you see the Dell screen and see if you can get into the BIOS setup. Post back with the results please.
Good luck!

DELL Optiplex GX280 PC don't boot

This is what I did & it worked to solve this error message on my Dell Optiples GX-280. Intel(r) Grantsdale-G PCI Accelerated SVGA BIOS
Build Number: 3314 PC Dev 04/12/2004 17:02:24
DECOMPILATION OR DISASSEMBLY PROHIBITED
Copyright (C) 2000-2003 Intel Corp. All rights reserved. I uninstalled all the ram except for one chip. I rebooted the system to to see if the one chip worked (ready to repeat the process if it didn't & thinking maybe it could also have a bad ram slot). The 1st chip worked & it went right into bios(clapping hands!!!) I then turned off & on the system...each time adding a new ram chip to see if any were bad, but to my surprise...none were...they all worked just fine after that(clapping hands & shaking head!!!)! Just to let you know...I had 4 sticks of DDR-2 4200 in it when I did all this...I know I know...it takes DDR-3200, but it will just clock it down to 3200 & still works just fine...trust me. Computer works fine now with no error messages what so ever...hope that helps~; )
