Ipod touch 4g loud speaker replace

The loudspeaker is located in the bottom left hand side of the ipod. You have to remove the screen to access it, unfortunately most times you try to remove screen (unless you are experienced, and have proper tools) you end up breaking the screen. The speaker is connected to main board with a red and a black wire, you must un solder these connections and solder the new speaker into place. The speaker, however, is stuck down quiet firmly to the housing. Carefull when you remove it not to damage main board.

IPod Touch 4th Gen will dock. Will Charge. Can use remote control to play, and shuffle songs from iPod, but sounds will not come through speakers on Philips SBD8100 Speaker Dock for iPod and iPhone

Hi Sniper326,
try cleaning the input socket of the Philips Speakers with a cotton bud, try cleaning the socket of the Ipod touch cable as well.

Have you tried using the IPod touch with different speakers? and does it work? if so the problem lies with your Philips speakers.

I hope this helps, good luck!

My ipod touch speakers are making a weird buzzing sound and when i plug in headphones it comes out of the left earbud only how could i fix this problem myself?

There is most likely some sort of debris inside of the headphone jack leading to that problem. The speakers sound like they are blown. Try holding the home button for 10 seconds, followed by holding the lock button for 10 seconds, put it into DMU mode and restore it completely. If this does not fix it, check with Apple and see if there is a warranty still left on it.

How do I change speaker sound from earphone sound?

While playing music, the iPod Touch should switch automatically from earphones to speaker when you unplug the earphones. If your Touch doesn't do this, it may have a physical defect. There is no setting on the Touch that would cause this problem.

The internal speakers on my ipod touch don't work

As far as I know, the sound quality coming out of the ipod is not so great to begin with. I have an iPod touch, and the speaker I have right now was only $12.59 and the sound quality is great. plus I have my headphones from UxSight. They are amazing. Here is the link: iPod speakers
