Dryer not drying clothers

Check that your unit has proper voltage to the back of the dryer. The next thing I would check as you said would be the heating element and over temp and safety limit devices. These are not resettable and must be replaced.

I ran into this last week. Customer said that when on auto dry. Unit would run for a long time. When he checked the unit, the display showed 1:40 left but he opened and checked. Clothes were bone dry. His last power bill was $400.00 when normal was $210.00. I called factory and ran the internal codes. The first thing that came up was F1. Meaning bad main board. I'm waiting on part so I can install on customers unit.
Please rate solution.
