user manual above below, is a service manual, use them both to troubleshoot and hopefully remedy your problem. http://136.166.4.200/contents/Laundry/DLE8377/DLE8377_Service_Manual.pdf
This is usually caused by condensation, or sometimes from excess water that isn;t voiding the machine.

Hotpoint tcem80c 6p not drying very quickly

Long Dry times tend to be caused by improper exhaust venting
normal ventng should be 8 to 10 feet long max should be flexible aluminum or solid metal venting if length is longer than 10 ft solid metal venting is a must ! White Vinyl is absolutley NOT advised ! ! make sure venting is as short as possble with no kinks or crushed areas and also you have good air flow out of dryer exhast outlet before connecting venting after connecting make sure you have good air flow at outside of home.........good luck !

Puddles of water forming under the unit

clean out the dryer and the vent line, you need to clean out the duct that the lint filter slides into, vac out the inside where the motor is and if the vent line is long blow it out with a leaf blower, also check the outside vent to make sure nothing is blocking it.the hot moist air isn't blowing outside,it's stuck in the dryer and vent line, all a dryer does is remove the moisture out of the clothes by moving air,if the air can't move correctly themoisture has to go somewhere.let me know how you make out, also if it's gas do this once a year, electric once every two years so you don't have a fire

My dryer is getting hot but clothes aren't drying what can be the problem? It runs for the full cycle too.

Check your venting to make sure there is no restriction. If you cannot find a restriction, unhook your venting from your dryer, pull it out two feet from the back wall, and run a normal load through the dryer. If it drys fine, you have a venting restriction, and it is not the dryer. If it still does not dry with the venting removed, you have a thermostat or thermistor problem. We moved in to a new house in Nov. 07 Have a Bosch 500 series dryer (new) The dryer stops after a few minuets and a signal sounds, error shows on display, and states clean filter. The filter is not...

If the dryer worked fine at the old house, I would suspect a wiring or grounding issue could be causing your symptoms.
Electronic controls often exhibit erratic behavior when not grounded properly.

Tip: To save you money, whenever an appliance is moved from 1 location to another, and an issue like this arises, do a thourough electrical and vent investigation before contacting a service provider.
A new dryer will sense a venting inadequacy and give an error code. Investigate your venting system thoroughly. Below are some helpful tips on investigating a vent inadequacy. Always consult your user’s manual before contacting a service provider.

Below are some tips that will aid you in investigating your vent issue.
  1. Do not rely on visual evidence; clean the vent from one end to the other. If possible, remove the entire vent tube and take outside to run water through it. Brushes of different lengths are available from parts suppliers if you cannot remove your venting.
  2. Do not rely on apparent airflow velocities. All dryers use different airflow velocities and minor obstructions are not readily observed optimally without utilizing an anemometer, (air pressure/speed gauge).
  3. Disconnect the dryer from the vent and run a load to eliminate, or suspect, the vent as the cause. If the dryer performs normally then the vent is the cause.
  4. Water can condense in a flexible vent tube and cause sagging. This needs to be eliminated by replacing the vent with rigid ducting if possible, or by bracing the tube. There are numerous venting accessories and options available to optimize the venting of a dryer.
  5. Dryer manufacturers use varying combinations of blower speeds, tumble revolutions, heat temperatures, and sensors to achieve a favorable result.
  6. Always remember that the shortest and straightest vent is the best vent.
  7. The lint filter could be coated with an invisible coating from using fabric sheets in the dryer. Hold the filter horizontally under running water and if the water beads up and does not filter through, replace the filter, and stop using fabric sheets. This same invisible film can also build up on sensor bars and cause drying issues.
  8. Animals, snow, shrubs, etc. have been noted to occasionally restrict the air from exhausting to the outside, by blocking the exterior vent cap. Be sure and check this frequently, especially on cold days, as animals love to be near a heat source.
If my assistance helped resolve this issue, please show your appreciation by rating how effective my advice was in resolving this issue.
Thank you,
Dave E. (Illeagle)

water out of any dryer now or old is problem. a definite venting issue. dryers doing what it should, pulling moisture from your clothes, that moisture should vent outside your home. however you have a SEVERELY clogged vent and the moisture is getting trapped and condensing on the cooler metal . replace your venting. at very least disassemble and clean. don't forget about exhaust hood where it leaves house

Gas dryer

AJ...the only thing that is going to cause this is a blocked vent or pinched vent hose. You need to make sure that all the venting is clear to the outside.
