top link, is your user manual, below that is a service manual, this is what the engineers use to troubleshoot and repair these units. This symptom, is being caused by something causing an Overload, possibly thermal, and this component(s) is causing too much current to flow in that part of the circuit, this is "Sensed" by the Power Supply & Computer, and then, the PSU is commanded to shut down, to avoid a fire, and explosion, or both. After which, the affected part, cools down, and the set no longer senses any fault, and allows it to work again... until...... If you cannot fix it yourself, then it is nearly always my professional opinion that one should always get a "Quote" from the manufacturers recommended service center, LG, in your case, please contact a local or head office and ask for a referral to an Authorised service center. I cannot stress how important that last point is. It is even worth the cost of shipping. You see an authorised service agent, will have trained staff, trained on their brand, also they have first hand access to parts, original parts. This will actually save you money and ensure you can actually get it back fixed. Of course asking for a "Quote" also gives on the option of repair or replace. Often my clients,do not go through with repair, unless it is moderate, but in some of the more costly jobs they see it, as do i, that a replacement, with a warranty, is a better option. As an aside here, one could then tear the TV down, and sell the Known Good bits. You'd be surprised who needs parts, I myself often must by from third party sources to effect a repair. So money could be recouped, somewhat, and help out someone else.

Hello Kim, hi, This type of problem is a nightmare to service, this intermittent problem is caused by overheating, and could be a power supply problem. there is a need to replace parts on the power supply board with heatsinks. after replacement, we test again. Or a simple silicon grease on all parts with heat sink is required. call for service if you cant figure out what im saying, thats it, keep me posted = )

I have a model #401-80089700. The inside wall next to the controls will get hot and the microwave will shut off. after it cools, the display comes back on and it will work until it get hot again. It

all units have a thermal fuse that stops operation when case over heats . try replacing the thermal fuse could be out of tolerance.. looking for an obstruction in the high voltage radiation ducting that could be obstructing the flow of high voltage radiation , or the defuser belt or motor is no good or slipping, also the cooling fan obstructed or failed. .. all above to be handled by a master or journey man teck. or tv repairman. A professional not an novice.

Power supply trouble. The TV keeps trying to start then operates for 2 seconds and shuts down. The cycle keeps repeating until eventually the TV will not start at all.

HL-R4266W shuts down and a faint clicking sound can be heard

I believe I read somewhere that when you open the back cover over the lamp, there is a special little black switch that needs to be in the up position when you put the cover back on, or the TV can shut itself off randomly.

Look into getting a new Power Supply Board. There is a good chance that you have 1 or more faulty capacitors on the PSB.

My TV turns on and off randomly!

Remove the rear cover & turn set on, pull all the connectors off one at a time and push back on. I have had loose connectors cause this problem, and by doing the above has fixed it. Note do the pull off and push back on of the connectors, with the tv unplugged from the AC outlet.
