I've experienced the same problem you described. Set had no sound, removing heatsink restored sound temporairily. Also, goop was runny beneath heatsink. Is there a service bulletin? I appreciate any help. Russmann.

the goop under the heat sink is thermal compound and some of it is toxic so please be careful.
