No it is unlikely that it is ever the actual switch, it is more probable that the switchmode power supply, has shut down the set for safety reasons, so as to avoid a fire and explosion or both. This is a classic symptom of such an event, and I see similar sets frequently in my shop. Unfortunately, WHY, this is occurring, is what must be isolated and repaired, often the faulty component has been damaged by the "Cause" which gives us a symptom, and just treating the symptom, while possibly appearing to remedy the situation, simply fails again, as the "Cause" was not attended to. Follow the troubleshooting procedures and the manual will soon zero you in on the faulty, board/component. Then use the manual to obtain your part number and you may indeed be able to source your requirements, eBay, and the 'net are a wide source for parts.

To assist you I have provided a service manual, and a user manual, between these to you should be able to isolate and hopefully repair your set.

Changing battery positive pole sparked . Engine starts but it immediately gets off. Still have the lock symbol on the dash .

That was a reset, try a relearn. You'll need a charger on the battery. Ten minutes on, thirty seconds off. Do this three times, then try to start. If that doesn't work, then it has to go on a scanner to see what happened. Sparks like yours usually don't hurt anything. But they can spike and burn a computer. Next time put the positive side on first.

IT TAKES A while to have screen on theTV

If I understand your (very brief) problem correctly, the problem is that when you turn on your TV or DVD player, it takes a while to show anything. If the time is less than a minute for a dvd player, or less than ten seconds for turning the TV on itself, then this actually isn't a problem. Modern TVs and various other tech often take several seconds to turn on, and that may be the only 'problem' you're experiencing. It's an unfortunate fact of modern life. Things take a little while to start up sometimes. If the time for the TV is in excess of about thirty seconds, or the time for a DVD/Bluray/whatever player is more than five minutes... Well, then it could be a problem, but I'm afraid I'd need more information than you've provided.

Changed battery and replaced lost key. Now it won't start

nitabelle57, It sounds like your security system will not recognize the new key you purchased. Keys have a chip in them which has to be recognized by the security system in order to work. The new key has to be programmed by your security system before it will start your vehicle. You will need a battery charger to program the key as this procedure takes thirty minutes to do. Put the charger on the battery. Be sure everything else is turned off. Place the new key in the ignition and turn it to the run position. The security light should come on. After ten minutes the security light should be out, if not proceed anyway. Turn the key to the off position but do not remove it. Wait five seconds and turn it to the run position once again. Wait another ten minutes and turn it off again. Wait five seconds and turn it to the run position once again. After the final ten minutes turn the key off (do not remove it) Wait thirty seconds and then the key should be programmed. If you have any other keys they will not work now as the security system is now programmed for the one key. If you have another key and need it for another driver then start the vehicle with the newly programmed key and let it run for about a minute. Place the extra key in the ignition and turn it to the run position and wait sixty seconds. This should solve that problem. Good luck with this.
