Go to Cub Cadet. com and click parts. Type your model number 1610. You will see parts diagram. Click that. It will show a long list of parts to click on. Choose drive and it will show you a diagram of all the pulleys and how the belt looks. Hope this helps. I had the same problem.

I couldn't find anything online on how to do this so I had to figure it out myself. I drew a picture hope it makes sense.
1. Lift seat
2. Remove battery clip and battery
3. Remove metal battery receptacle, you will see the 3 drive belt pulleys throw the battery hole
4. Pull pulley 2 towards pulley 1 and run belt around all 3 pulleys as shown in the attached picture.

Go to this website, upper right hand corner and do a parts look up.
Search for your model and that good stuff they ask of you and then
choose mower housing should be there, browse the site it's really cool
and has a lot of info.
I did a sample search for generic riding mower deck and found great diagram of belt routing. Give it a try jelly bean you will find same results Good Luck! Don't forget the thumbs!
