Re: have memory card error will not allow format
Hi Sir , welcome =)
# Insert your memory card into your computer's reader if you have one. If not, you can purchase a multi-format USB Memory Card reader from Amazon.com or Buy.com # 2 Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available drives. # 3 Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive. # 4 In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'. # 5 Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do in the first place. # 6 Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to make sure it works fine now.

I have seen several question with the same issues on your camera. There where 3 possible reasons why do you received an error "clean or format card". First reason is your card was not formatted for the camera used. You need to format it first for you to be able to used the memory card. Second reason is memory card slot or the memory card itself requires cleaning. Yu can used soft and dry cloth to cleaned it, sometimes pencil eraser or any eraser can be used to clean the memory card, but you have to be careful in using it on your memory card. After you clean it, you also need to format the memory card. Third possible reason is memory card might need to replace.
Notes: All existing data, including protected pictures, are erased when internalmemory or card is formatted. Make sure that you save or transfer important data to a computer before formatting the memory or card.
Make sure that there is no card inserted in the camera when formatting the Internal Memory.
be sure that the card is inserted when formatting the Memory card.
Make sure that you have a fully charged battery or used the AC adapter.
I hope this information can help you.
Thank you for using FixYa.
Okay the FEE is telling me that you haven't locked your lens in at F22. Lock the lens should be an aperture ring turn it to the smallest aperture and there is a little lock on the side of the lens that will hold it in that position. The camera then looks after the rest. If this is allowed to float then the camera is getting a faults input from the lens. The CHG is a card error, possible you have been deleting images from the card and not formatting the card the card needs to be formatted to the camera. As a rule of thumb format the memory card in the camera after each time you download pictures to the computer. This cleans the memory card and allows proper communications between memory card and camera. Okay you'll love this one the "FOR" error is a known problem with Nikon D70 and can be fixed by updating your camera firmware on Nikon's site that Otta help. cheers have fun
you should be able to re-format the card using the "tools" tab which is at the left-hand bottom side of the main menu. This should wipe out all images and any bad data that may have been stored by the memory card.
