The exact same problem for this particular unit shows up many times on the repair questions asked on the internet.

Since this problem is posted several times by other people owning a similar unit I expect it to be something in the nature of a safety fuse.

Hello aversteegh, hi, in my opinion as a tech guy, I'm really not sure if its worth the repair, there are to much problem with that receiver, but if you plan to service it your self, better not, this takes a lot of diagnosing, as you describe this receiver problems, it points all to power supply and or a main board (possibly controls circuit, the IC that controls every media player), I humble suggest consult first a local tech shop for evaluation or free estimates on the repair. and make sure that the repair is reliable.

Cant eject cd, no sound

HI, you have a damaged IC chip on the main board that is not allowing proper sound distribution at this time and, the load motor on the CD assembly is also damaged. this is the reason for the trapped CD that wont eject.

Unfortunately, Micro dose all of its repairs in house and you will have to send this unit to the Micro techs for this repair.

Fuse

If the fuse blew again then there is more than likely a problem with one or more of the boards components. First start by unscrewing the power supply and looking on the underside, you may see some burn marks. If you do then it is likely that the component above the burn marks has blown and needs to be replaced. If you do not see any burn marks then the best place to start is with the diodes on the board. If its still not working, e.g. the fuse blew again then it may be that the problem lies elsewhere on the power supply... Good luck.
