Question about RCA P52926 52" Rear Projection Television
This problem seems like a defective or leaking zenerdiode in the receiver section. the receiver uses a 32volt zenerdiode that holds the voltage steady at the desired peak. when this is defective its voltage trought this part goes all the way up. especially when changing channels. according the self protection, the tv unit will shutdown when passing the 32 volt.<br /> what you can do is lokate and change this zenerdiode or change the receiver board. i think the last one will be easy if your not handy enough. succes and enjoy :)

Try this: Turn off power and unplug the set and disconnect any peripherals from the set. Hold in the power button for at least 60seconds, then reconnect the power and try it. It may reset, no guarantee though.
