Question about Sharp Office Equipment & Supplies

1 Answer

I have a Sharp AL1655 CS copier that keeps telling me to replace TD cartridge. I have purchased 3 different cartridges and get the same results. It prints about 20 - 25 prints then says TD cart near end of life then will not print anymore. I can turn the toner agitator gear on the toner cartridge and it will again print around 20 to 25 prints then says Td cart and end of life.

I am seeing probably the same thing you have already but when it comes down to this problem and you have already spent and wasted money on 3 cartridges, you should call the number below.

1-630-378-3590

Also, tell them that you want to be reimbursed for the last three cartridges also...

The part that you are talking about is not from the fuser unit. It is from the drum unit, it is most likely the primary charge grid. It is part of the drum that charges the drum..... You may just want to replace the drum unit..... If the grid fell off the plastic holder may be broken... Good Luck

When you press the copy key , it should show 40 and this is the solution. Remove the TD cartridge and unscrew the toner sensor and wipe with a small blower. Clean with a brush if the toner particle is stubborn and blow. Then screw back and clear with key press #*C* and enter16 then press copy key. If it re-appears, replace TD cartridge with Sharp AR-202ft. Enjoy the job.

Are you having your cartridges refilled?
By "replace TD cartridge" message do you mean the little stack of 6 red dots on the control panel?
The sensor for this condition is contained within the toner cartridge. The sensor reads the mixture of developer to toner ratio and tells the machine to add toner when needed. If you are having this problem with 3 different toner cartridges then I would suspect the toner add drive system. If you are having just the 1 cartridge refilled and have had the problem with the last 3 refills then the cartridge itself may be the problem.
I'll let you repond then we will see if further info is required.
Thank You for using Fixya.

Add developer in sharp AR-5316

That model uses a TD cartridge so when you replace the toner the developer is included. The crum chip on the TD cartridge will reset the counters and sets the developer.
