Question about Fuji FinePix A345 Digital Camera

1 Answer

I have had my Fujifilm finepix z35 for a few months now. I have never had any problems uploading my photos to my computer using the usb lead. Now suddenly, it will not work; I plug in the usb and turn the camera on and there is a white screen on the camera, with usb in top left corner. Nothing happens on the computer. Please help, it's very annoying!

Do you have to use the USB connection? The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive. Or whatever software you're currently using probably will work just as well with a card reader.

My finepix z35 wont charge by its charger and isnt working off its usb lead either.jessops tested the lithion battery which was fine its obviously a problem with camera

go to jessops and rule out one by one:

is the charger faulty?
is the battery faulty? (you have done so)
then is the camera faulty.

most likely is the camera.

Wont upload photos to computer

If you are using the USB connection cable that came with the camera, instead try using an SD card USB adapter for your computer and importing the photos using that.

My computer doesn't detect my finepix s602zoom

I have not had this problem, but I always use a card reader to upload my photos.
It saves on wear and tear on the small usb socket on the side of the camera. I can't see any reason to use a cable if all I need is to upload photos.
